Part 1 of Character Design for Video Games with Norris Lin launches this mini-series with a real-world professional approach on taking a character brief, gathering and utilizing a reference / mood board, and generating ideation sketches & call-out designs.
Part 2 - December 29:
Part 2 of this series, a design direction is chosen and we continue the production process by creating a character turn-around sheet. This type of orthographic drawing is vital to the production environment, and essential for the rest of the team in order to translate & replicate your designs as close as possible.
