It was Hair, not Joseph. Plus Pippin earlier on! And I'm almost sure the courtroom song was a riff on Dance Ten, Looks Three from Chorus Line mixed with that patter song from Company. But yes, I find it a little funny that Chicago and Cabaret are the least represented in a place called Schmicago lol

This season is interesting. I’m a little more confused about the world of Schmicago I guess. Schmigadoon was pretty clearly a world set in a certain musical time period like Oklahoma!/Carousel etc. Schmicago I thought was going to be pretty clearly a world based on that of Chicago/Cabaret etc. But it seems to be much more of a smorgasbord! There’s been a Sweeney Todd vibe, then a little Oliver/Annie thrown in with the orphans this ep. Plus the whole 70s side world a la Jesus Christ Superstar/Godspell/Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ? I don’t hate it, I’m just confused 😅
