Omg she DOES look like Nancy Botwin!! About the language switching- I get it being annoying for sure but from what I can tell it’s done intentionally. Like there are moments when it seems they want the audience to experience the situation from maybe Tony’s perspective and since in 2006 he didn’t really speak or understand French, we only get to know what people around him speaking French are saying if someone translates for him. Adds to the frustration of that whole situation he was experiencing.
