I’ll be honest, the episode as a whole isn’t the best. It’s definitely a filler. It wasn’t awful though imo. But seeing the different people in the O.R. (Gail as Richard’s mother, little Stephanie, Owen’s sister, etc.) was somewhat interesting to me. I didn’t really like Richard doing the whole make believe thing with Carl/Gail, but like you said if we heard a lot about Richard’s mother before, it would’ve been more interesting. I can see why you couldn’t even believe that the scene with Meredith telling the kids that Derek died was real, but I’m sure it was real. I think that the episode wasn’t great especially because I think they were stuck in one setting and kept arguing over what to do instead of coming to a concrete decision. But yeah, I know filler episodes are to be expected, but hopefully we don’t get one this slow-paced again 😭 I think certain shows are always going to have at least one episode that steps away from the main storylines and goes completely off course

I think this episode is when I noticed that Meredith and Derek had their own special music that played when they had scenes together. I miss them😭

Half way in and already I wanted to quit watching this episode. Who was the idiot who wrote this ep? It's terrible! And a waste of time. I feel bad for the people who watched this when it was airing on TV. Wasted an hour of their lives just to watch this boring episode.

About two minutes into the episode I realized which one this was and was bummed. I think the writers just wanted to use a Hamilton song and didn’t care about the actual story. Haha. However, still got teary at Meredith talking to the kids and hearing the MerDer theme.
