As much as I like Jackson, he's the only one I was ready to let go of with the main cast, so I was (mostly) fine with the decision. Now, the showrunner(s) having Angela name the baby after him, well, they were going for the jugular right there

That end scene when we find out the baby's name is Jackson made me tear up also. Plus it's so interesting to see Camille Guaty (Sandra) in this role because I'm familiar with her from over 20 years ago on Disney's "Gotta kick it up". This show is great and I'm excited to watch with you! <3

If I'm correct, due to the Black lives matter movement, the actor didn't want to come back , he could not see himself playing a cop anymore, that and he wanted to focus on his music.
