Sometimes these writers just be doing things. Addison cheated on her husband got pregnant got an abortion and then spent like a year at least trying to beg for Derek back while never telling him. I actually love Private Practice but I do feel like there could've been less moral dilemma plot lines where characters say things that don't fit them at all just so we hear both sides of an argument
