Yes, I am also in love with Alex Karev and have been since the earlier seasons tbh. As for Meredith and Amelia, Amelia annoys the hell out of me so a lot of the time I’m on Mer’s side just in general principal because I feel like Amelia constantly centers herself and doesn’t know how to accept when something is not about her.

This!! Amelia can’t handle it if her feelings aren’t the biggest and most important in the world. I’m incredibly close to my siblings but I would never treat their spouses anywhere close to this if we were in the same situation. Can’t stand her at all! Her being in Private Practice is the main reason I will never watch that show. I don’t need more Amelia in my life 😂

People who blindly defend Amelia in this storyline must not have have people in their lives who are always full of drama. Amelia is exhausting. At some point you have to stop feeding into the drama and stay calm while the other person is melting down. I'm with Meredith on this one. It genuinely wasn't any of Amelia's business what Owen or Evelyn told Meredith about Riggs. I understand she wanted to support Owen, but he kept putting up a clear boundary of not wanting to talk about it, and Amelia refused to respect it. Also, Amelia is a Shepherd through and through. She and Derek were clearly cut from the same cloth. She is so quick to throw any perceived slight or indiscretion back in Meredith's face when she's hurting, which is exactly what Derek did for 11 seasons. I don't blame Meredith for being tired of their crap. I would want to just ignore Amelia's temper tantrums at this point too.

Absolutely love Alex, from the earlier seasons to this episode, his character development is everything!!!! As for Meredith and Amelia, I don’t know when they aren’t arguing 😭😭 I think if anyone thought Amelia should know, then she would know. She doesn’t have to know everything. Imo, I think that Maggie and Andrew are so cute together. That scene with April and Jackson had great acting from Sarah Drew. Yeah, Jessica Capshaw (Arizona) was pregnant during this time. You caught that really fast!

Personally I just don’t think its fair for people to hate on shows once their favorite characters leave.. Like yes it sucks to see them go (and yes sometimes shows tend to change when they have a cast change) but its not fair to the people who stayed and are still working hard. I also think all the seasons are really effing good in their own ways and that none of them are 100% perfect either.

i had to google it and Jessica Capshaw was pregnant during this season, so y’all clocked it! and Sarah Drew was pregnant twice during filming; once in season 8, which they just hid and then last season while April was pregnant with Samuel, Sarah was really pregnant. and not so fun fact, she went into premature labor irl just hours before having to film the scene where Samuel dies. i cannot imagineeee how that fucked her up😭

I love Alex also!!! Jo is driving me crazy. Don’t like Owen. And I agree that Arizona seemed to be filmed funny and looked to maybe be sporting a baby bump. Possibly April also. There was one scene with April where she was angled funny to the camera and she looked possibly baby bumpy or post baby bump. I’m not sure if she and Arizona were pregnant irl or not.

I agree, season 12 is good so far imo. Also, these people shouldn't have warned you about anything anyway. But yeah I feel Mer is really mean to Amelia even though their scenes are good. She's being very dismissive too and I don't like it but I love the acting.

Agreed. She could’ve defended her promise/relationship with Christina without hurting Amelia. It makes me even more sad thinking about their relationship since last season. Back in 11x01 Amelia said, “It wasn’t until I met Meredith I had a sister I could relate to.”
