Makes 0 Sense in this situation. Owen was right to be mad.... he is a fucking Military Surgeon, so is Teddy, they would be calm under this situation and could have figured out an alternative option for the Patient, also not everyone hates owen, its more like 50/50

So that first shooting scene with Reed was initially written for Izzie to be at the hospital and getting shot but she wouldn't show up for her shoots. Haha. Can you imagine the shock we would have had if it was just bam! Bullet in her non cancerous brain and then to have Alex walk up to him and get shot immediately after!? That would have been devastating.

Thank you Travis! Amazing reaction! What always strikes me about this episode on re-watch is how *quiet* the beginning of the episode is. We’re so used to the iconic Grey’s soundtrack and music that it adds to the build up and suspense of what’s to come.

I remember when this aired. We had the luxury of being spoiled by the endless promos ABC used to play for their finale. We knew I was a shooting episode maybe two weeks before. I feel for the people around today who just get dropped into this episode with no warning.

I've never been so excited for you to finally share our trauma. I work in a hospital and I'm always terrified this would happen cause a few months ago one of our patients threatened to shoot up the hospital killing everyone then burn it down just cause they couldn't smoke a cigarette. 😰 They were kicked out and told to not come back I'm glad they haven't!!

My waiting has paid off. Will edit after viewing! Edit: Well, you did not disappoint with your reaction lol. Surprise, welcome to the most intense 2 part finale of the series! I will say, there are some parts about this episode that seems a bit weird (i.e. Mer + Yang moving even after they knew it was a shooter, but I suppose the writers wanted the "Grey watches Derek get shot" shot). That being said, Chandra Wilson (Bailey)'s performance is incredible, and I'd forgotten about how Lexie kind of has a love triangle, what with helping Alex with Sloan.
