This episode showcases one of the greatest traits about Gideon. He is so out there and just so willing to lay the cards on the table and not sugar coat shit. Sometimes I wish life was more like that. I hate when people tip-toe around uncomfortable truths for the sake of politeness, especially when the shocking truth could change someone's inappropriate or flat out damaging behavior.

Great reaction as always! That dude was crazy haha. It’s sad his dad didn’t handle things better with the mother, otherwise things might have turned out better when the son discovered the mother was cheating. It could have been something that hurt him but taught him a lesson about what he doesn’t want in relationships when he grows up. But instead he became a murderer lol

I think it could have been either way… the episode was left open ended for the father for that reason for the viewer to make their own assumptions about what he thought…

I don't think the dad knew for sure that his son killed his wife all those years ago I believe he had his suspicions... Like gideon said he always made excuses for the son's behavior so he probably choped it off to something like that the way the son acted over the years... he probably has been in denial for many many years so turned a blind eye to everything... (i'm not excusing the father's behavior or lack thereof but pointing out what he could have thought)
