I think I remember reading that she decided to leave the show because she didn't want to play a teenager anymore. She was like 28 when this was filmed

I believe that whole speech about being in the arms of her first love wasn't in the script. The actress just got a bit emotional filming her last scene and went off book. Looking forward to the finale but it's also bittersweet seeing the end of this storyline.
