The Producers (2005) | MOVIE REACTION (Patreon Request)
🕑 Added 2022-10-24 23:15:43 +0000 UTCFailing producer Max Bialystock (Nathan Lane) and his accountant, Leo Bloom (Matthew Broderick), scam a group of elderly women out of their nest eggs by convincing them to invest in a horrendously offensive Third Reich-themed musical secretly intended to bomb the moment it opens. But when high-brow Broadway audiences mistakenly assume "Springtime for Hitler" is a satire, Bialystock finds himself with the critical acclaim that has long eluded him -- and the biggest hit of his career.

I haven't seen this version yet. I loved the original though, so I'll give it a whirl.

The original, also by Mel Brooks, is a classic. You should check it out. I really enjoyed laughing along with you tonight. Everyone needs a little 'over the top' once in a while.

A century ago, accountants wore green eyeshades to protect from eye strain as they poured over ledger books by candlelight or new-fangled incandescents.

I had really forgotten John Barrowman was in this. He really pops up in all the most unexpected places. But I still love him so much.

You'll never see The Lion King the same way againπ

Everytime I watch Matthew Broderick all I can see is inspector gadget. Idk why but that's the childhood movie that stuck out to me. Even more than ferris bueller. π€£
