Travis - yes, that's true about Madonna. She dropped out of college and went to NYC with 35 bucks to her name. It's one of the rare few true bits of meta knowledge Sue drops in the entire show. 😅 Editing to add: Sue's constant commentary on Will's hair is because Matthew Morrison was Link Larkin in Hairspray and it's their running gag. 😂

yass

Your reaction to Vogue was everything!

Sebastian Whitaker

loved your reaction! to this day I think Sue doing Vogue is one of the best numbers they ever do in 6 seasons of the show. endlessly iconic

Spaceydoodle

the choir moment!!! knew you'd like that :)

can't wait to see what else happens!

Also big point worth noting is that this is the first time Santana has solo lines in a song (Like a Virgin) and she can also be heard in Express Yourself. This episode was the first one that Naya recorded vocals for and blew everyone away with her voice.

When they were shooting the Vogue scene they had the original music video pulled up on an iPad so they could copy it shot for shot. There will be other performances that they will do that with later on. 😄

Heather said at one of the ComicCons that she improvised that line. Their reactions are hilarious because they had no idea she was going to even say anything much less that. Heather has naturally brilliant timing and delivery.

Yes, there's going to be more tribute episodes, mostly in season stwo and three. I love how Santana and Brittany were in every musical number there killing it even when they don't have any close ups, like in the Vogue video. I wonder where they mustered the energy to do that. It must have been an exhausting filming week for them.

vince

There are a ton of tribute episodes in the show and all of them are really good episodes

Mark Wood

This episode is a prime example of how successful, even its first block of episodes were. They spent money on this set pieces this week. By episode 14 the ratings exploded. What was a solid hit from the get go, become a monster sized hit now.

Wow, talented family!

Man, your reaction to Vogue was everything I was expecting and more! I also really like Brittany's (not sure what spelling they use for the show) line about Jesse looking like Mr. Schue's son (which is funny since they're only about 5/6 years apart)! I had forgotten how funny she can be. We're starting to get closer to the climax of the first season. I'm interested to see what you think about the coming developments

Kelly Terry

The woman front and center in the choir is Amber Riley’s (Mercedes) mother and her sister is also in the choir

David Guilmette

Ok, you just got to Vogue and I was waiting for your reaction. It is just what I expected. They did an amazing job with that video! My favorite line will always be “Will Schuster I hate you”

Lulu

"Talk about it, or sing about it" "Sing off in the parking lot" 😂😂😂 Jesse is such a musical theater diva, and I am here for itttt 👏🏽 Also I wouldn't mind hearing him sing at every possible occasion 😆
