We go into a little more detail (I think) in the next episode of Ask SuperMega about this, but here's the fast answer: We are only given a certain amount of video upload space on Patreon, and because we're posting over and hour or video content per week on here, it starts to dwindle quickly! If we post streams on here, that video storage space will be gone in the blink of an eye. We really wish we could, and also we wish that memberships made it so ads didn't display. Sorry bout that, hope it's still enjoyable!

i really love this idea of making little patreon lets plays of channel members streams where the community is involved like this! it’s a nice little treat, especially for patrons who may not be channel members and can’t watch the whole vod, while also still keeping something special and exclusive for the channel members. feels like a win/win to me, i hope you guys do more :)

i see a lot of confusion about this very often so you’re definitely not alone in thinking that, but memberships aren’t meant to get rid of ads on live streams or vods/any public channel content. it’s just to unlock whatever perks the specific channel you sign up for offers! i’m not exactly sure how they (youtube) decide who gets ads during a live stream because it seems so sporadic and random (i personally have never gotten them and im a member without youtube premium, and im not in america which could also be a factor) but i imagine if you have/get premium that’s the best way to avoid it completely. then of course on vods you get typical ads if you’re not on premium because it’s essentially just a regular youtube video at that point so the ads go on as normal. that’s how i understand it anyways, perhaps i could be wrong somewhere.
