I work as an EMT and I feel so bad for how much people say they have to pay if we get them a 2nd time. And I am in now way saying that this is worse but we also get paid like garbage for the stuff that we see and do for people. I’m definitely not staying in this field even though I do like the actual helping people part and trying to save lives

the vr field trip bit unlocked a forgotten childhood memory of the time in primary school (that’s uks version elementary) but i was like 7-8 years old and we went on a school trip to a ww2 school it was basically an average experience of being at school in ww2 when the germans were bombing us and they had people playing as teachers there it was a whole experience even threatened to beat you and they had the desks with the draw that lifts up and the teacher yelled at me and a couple of my classmates “STOP PLAYING WITH THAT OR I’ll SLAM IT DOWN ON YOUR FINGERS” but then later on an air raid siren came on and they took us down into the bomb shelters and then were playing bomb noises and it was terrifying they just traumatised a bunch of 8 year olds
