My HPPD mostly kicks in when I look at detailed patterns or highly textured surfaces, there will almost be a shimmering effect that makes it really difficult to focus on things. Used to be if I stared at a wall or the ceiling, the swirls and drops of paint would move like lava, but those visuals have lessened over time.
