I’m late on this but saw it on Youtube when it came out. Imo the subject matter was suuuuuper heavy so I didn’t really find it funny, BUT the production was incredible. Like I’m a horror lover and I don’t know if it was because I didn’t know where this was gonna go comedy-wise (like if I looked at it as horror I maybe would have interpreted it differently) but it was incredibly intense and gripped me the whole time, and everyone’s acting was great. Your whole team is super talented, and I’d definitely watch something more serious/scary if you were ever interested in exploring that kind of stuff.

I agree, thank you for saying this. The video brought up some very difficult memories, hiding in the bathroom from violent and abusive family members is a very real situation for many people, including myself. Watching it was intense and tbh I don't think the punchline made up for it. I'm surprised and kind of disappointed that they made child abuse the topic of their video. I hope they consider at least putting a warning in the description.

I didn't find the sexual assault joke funny until it turned out to be a really out of touch ad for a southern bbq sauce company. I don't think the joke would land great without the part stating that it's an in-universe ad.
