I haven't seen anyone mention it, but as someone with chronic sciatica, Voltaren gel has always been my go-to quickfix. I usually use it while I sleep. Certain stretches help me the most long term, and physical therapy will be your best bet. I've had bad experiences with chiropractors, so I'd be wary of that path. best of luck to Ryan

I had a back injury a year ago and had nerve damage and possible muscle tears on the left side of my mid-back. The pain used to make me cry just sitting up straight. Unfortunately it was a workers comp case and I wasn't able to get any medical assistance until three months after. I tried muscle relaxers, nada. I tried PT, 50% better. The only thing that made the pain stop was gabapentin (nerve pain meds). Bc my I jury healed like shit my back is now fucked and I see a chiropractor weekly. Ryan, please keep going to massage therapy, question your doctor's if muscle relaxers don't help! Lots of love and a speedy recovery to you both 💕

Had a really similar back issue that lasted almost a year - lots of doctors said it was sciatica and I was doing physical therapy for months but it got to the point where I couldn't walk without a cane - Finally went to a spinal specialist, got diagnosed with a herniated disc and after 2 spinal injections I felt almost immediately better. My back has been great 8 years later!

For the sciatica, you’re going about everything correctly. I used to work for a massage spa and I know many clients benefited from regular massage therapy for the pain. But if you’re already going to physical therapy and taking your meds then I feel like that’s enough to work with unless the pain is becoming unbearable. The healing period varies from person to person from what I’ve seen

About a product that could help, I had a relative that had severe on and off sciatica and bought a Sacro Wedgy off amazon. It looks like a piece of shit but she swears by it cause it got rid of the pain after a while.

Not myself but my mom had a herniated disc that caused sciatic nerve pain and it healed on its own in a month or so. Doing stretches and exercises everyday helps it heal
