Minecraft Server Launch

THE SERVER IS NOW LIVE.
Welcome to SuperMegaCraft, the official SuperMega Patreon-exclusive Minecraft server! I know some of y’all have been waiting a while (and some of y’all probably forgot all about it), but I’m happy to announce that it is finally here!
The server utilizes some plug-ins for spawn protection and some other fun features, so it is exclusive to the desktop Java version of Minecraft.
First, let’s go over how to join the server:
- Open the Minecraft launcher on your desktop, and log in.
- Navigate to the tab that says “Installations” at the top of the launcher.
- Create a new installation for Minecraft, version 1.18. This is the version that our server is running on, since it is most compatible with our plug-ins. (This may take a minute or two to download, depending on your internet speed).
- Click “Play” next to the Minecraft 1.18 installation you just created.
- Once Minecraft is open, navigate to the Multiplayer menu.
First, we will be connecting to the server that links Patreon to your Minecraft account using our plug-in.
- Click “Add Server”, and name the server whatever you like.
- Enter mclink.dries007.net:15556 in the Server Address box.
- Click “Done”.
- Click “Join Server”. (Note: You may not be able to join right away, as this linking server has a limited amount of slots. Please be patient as other people link their accounts.)
- Follow the instructions in the text box on this linking server.
- Leave the server once you have linked your accounts.
Now, if you’re a patron, you should be able to join the SuperMegaCraft server!
- Click “Add Server” and name the server “SuperMegaCraft” or whatever you want.
- Enter 135.148.58.220 in the Server Address box.
- Click “Done” and then click “Join Server”, and you should be in!
A quick note: if you are a patron and are still unable to join after linking accounts, please visit https://mclink.dries007.net/help in your web browser for help with the plug-in. This is a third-party plug-in that we have verified to be safe, but we don’t have access to the back-end, so you may need to contact the developer through their Discord server if you continually have trouble with linking accounts.
So, you’re now part of SuperMegaCraft. Now what?
This server is a bit unconventional compared to other SMP servers, and while you can still play Minecraft in Survival mode like you would on any other server, there are other features we have created to hopefully give you some long-term goals to work towards.
Some quick pointers:
- When you first spawn within the city walls, you may realize you cannot mine, place blocks or hurt other players within the city limits. You must purchase a SuperMegalopolis Land Deed from Leighton at the SuperMegaMart to buy a plot of land within the city. Once you do, you’ll be able to build safely in your own personal plot in the heart of SuperMegaCraft, without fear of griefing or being killed! We want SuperMegalopolis to reflect the creativity of our community, so once you get your own plot, start brainstorming some cool building ideas!
- You must present your Land Deed to a server operator/moderator to receive the plot of your choice.
- Diamonds are our currency in SuperMegaCraft. You can use them for their normal purposes (crafting tools and armor), but you can also trade them to Leighton at the SuperMegaMart in exchange for certain special items and resources. Feel free to trade them between yourselves, as well!
- Outside of the city limits, anything goes. Cooperate, compete, play alone thousands of miles away, the choice is yours. However, be sure to keep your valuables in an Ender Chest, so that if you are killed or your belongings are stolen, you still have your diamonds and whatever else you value most. We have provided Ender Chests at each gate of SuperMegalopolis, as well as in the SuperMegaMart for easier trading access.
- Some of our moderators have hidden little caches and landmarks around the map outside of the city walls, with rewards for finding them hidden somewhere nearby. Get out there and seek them out, you might just find something worthwhile!

1/5. Laggy mess that doesn't even have basic infrastructure. Mods host occasional "surprises", which can range from giving random people economy-crippling amounts of currency or supplying coordinates to potential loot. Mods just toss out busted enchanted items (saw someone who was given a fortune 50 pickaxe-- surely that won't bust the economy) or inane amounts of currency like they don't even care! They lie to the main developer (unsubbin) so they can stay on their strange power trip. There's a massive gap between people who "have" and who "have not" because moderators will throw stacks of diamond blocks out like they're nothing in a server where currency is a high focus.
