I agree, but I still think people were being too rough on them. They only let us see what they want us to see. We have no clue what’s going on when the cameras are off. I know that when I’m having issues personally that my creative juices don’t flow very well either. Rather than putting stuff out that had no heart, I’m happy they made the choice to let themselves recharge before they came back locked and reloaded. (With some excellent content, btw! 😉)

I know this comment is super late at this point and will probably never be read, but I just felt like I have to say I understand when people criticize you for lack of uploads or poor timing with uploads but you guys should never ever ever let people disparage your creative work like the book or skits or stuff that you put a lot of effort and care into.

Hurts my heart to hear you guys so upset with yourself, but I can relate from similar experiences with a different artistic platform. It’s hard and it doesn’t feel good. Matt and Ryan, I personally sadly had to cancel my Patreon subscription for financial reasons since I've been becoming an adult since I've been watching you guys. I recently subscribed again because I can, not because I felt like you guys were in a rough patch. Yeah, upload schedule isn't as consistent, but honestly no one actually gives a fuck besides you guys and the judgement from your peers and THAT IS FINE. Our opinion shouldn't matter nearly as much as it does, it's just that cancel culture combined with "you fell off" puts you guys on way too high of a pedestal. I can't imagine the anxiety you'd get with that, but please please please just do what you do. Shoot the shit in the podcast. Release some crazy ass books that you guys put your souls into. I have been a fan of you guys since "two grown men play club Penguin" and I feel that the quality and honest friendship and support that you two have not only for each other but for everyone you have worked with is really inspiring. I get 100% where the boys are coming from. Im also in a position where I don't really have to answer or report to a boss and still get paid whether I do anything or not. That SOUNDS great from the outside, and it is very privileged. But for the mental health, it's really fucking hard. Not having any motivation to do anything and not accomplish anything in a day can be really depressing but it's a vicious circle of the lack of motivation feeding the depression, which feeds the lack of motivation ect. Do your best boys. I'll gladly keep giving you my 5 big ones until you guys are feeling better! I think people really forget that you're people, just like the rest of us.

I rarely go on Patreon, my main presence is on YouTube, and you're on of the few channels I can just feel happy playing older videos in the background. Those "Best of" videos are gold. Getting a new video is great, of course, but your older content is still amazing. Ignore those negative comments, instead, focus more on the positives, like these comments in Patreon. We're here for you, and everyone needs a break sometimes. Don't stress over it, you ain't losing me.

I can understand why fans would have different reactions especially for being discontent with the lack of content, but I kinda feel like ya'll are bein' a lil' hard on yourselves even while holding yourselves accountable. I feel like it’s such a weird transitional age, plus it’s being coupled with an insane world at the moment.
