Ugh love the fact that your vocals has such a quirky light tone to the song and adding a dynamic to the overall toned down and low nature of the song. Surprisingly, I actually really like the ending and how it rumbles off, does feel like I wanted more though but it is a demo so I totally get it. Production wise, I feel like I can't say much cause I'm not the best at that myself either but... the rap was actually well written? The execution came off clean and I don't hate the chorus like I thought I would. Yeah, the track definitely needs touch up and what nots but I think you're good enough to go. If I were to give it a Joannthany Noahthano rating, I'd say a fair 6/10 so in context of this release? 7/10. Which is pretty good. Excited to see you do more!!! Matt! Awesome song! I hope this gets to you. I just want to say somethin that might open up the song. Because you have the like vinyl popping noise at the beginning and the beat sounds like a sample drum break, I think it would be cool to add some record scratches every now and then. You have such on awesome vocal timbre and I have no idea how you mixed it to sound like that, so I think you could totally mix that unique vocal sound with more of the classic record scratch. I think if it’s sparse it could really add to the vibe. Also I think you should add some other instruments. Idk if you play piano or guitar, but I might be fun to add like some very chill and quiet seventh chords that match the bass line about halfway through the song. I know you are working with logic, so check out some of their electric piano sounds and maybe fuck around with the exs24 and goof with it. This is a dope song, and because this is a rough draft I thought I’d maybe share some ideas I had while listening. Also, maybe around the end of the song on the very high “I don’t want to feel this way” add the same lyric but try and pitch shift it super low. The way the vox sounds reminds me of old DOS games. The super low and super high part could make a cool sound IMO. However, don’t sacrifice your artistic vision because of feedback or criticism. Talking feedback is crucial to becoming better, but don’t take it if it changes how you imagine the song to be.
