this is really hard to put into words. with a mom that was taught by nuns at a catholic school and a father that goes to church everyday, believe me when I say that I understand your pain. the day I told my mom she pretty much had a panic attack, hyperventilation, throwing up, the full package, took me an hour of waiting for her to stop crying so we could actually talk about it that was hard... to just watch her cry. the history there is super long and to keep it short let's say that we found a happy middle and that's ok sometimes that's all we can hope for
I'm sorry it went the way it did, but I am glad you are making yourself happy! You deserve it! My parents don't accept me, and I look up to you and really appreciate this.
