Thank you. My parents have been on the other side of the US (we're in OH and my grandparents AZ) and usually they're right across the street and for the last 20 months, they've been in AZ helping my parents pass peacefully yet independently at home. And they've succeeded. My Grandmother is going to snowbird here in the summer and winter at home. And since my grandfather passed, my Dad came home and my sister flew out a few days ago and is helping my mom drive home today, now that the storm passed for the most part. So my Mom is coming home and should be home by new years. And my last memory I have of my Grandfather is making one last amazing family dinner with my whole family, and all of us telling the funniest family memories we could think of and my grandparents laughed, and laughed so hard, they were crying and literally peed thier adult diapers. Which was honestly the greatest present I could ever want. Is to see them together, with my parents, with all my sisters and thier husbands and my daughter just hanging out and having a wonderful time. Just peace and happiness and laughter. It was great. My grandfather got to go to sleep in his own bed. And passed in his sleep. He was on pain meds and wasn't in pain or suffering. And it's honestly a relief to know he is no longer in pain or suffering anymore. And things are gonna start to return to a new normal, slowly but surely. And this was literally the icing on the cake. To have such a warm, comfort right when I've needed it. Thank you for that. Thank you for everything.

Way to make me cry! But a good cry. I am so so happy my writing can help you in such a dire situation. I'm so sorry for all the loss you're facing, it always seems like these things hit the hardest at this time of year. But also, I am so proud of you. All of this and you've still got such a bright, hopeful voice. It's amazing. I'm so very proud of your strength and resilience, and even of the weakness I'm sure you're feeling right now. Grief is a hard road, and you may come to smoother paths, but you never really get off that road. I hope things get easier for you and you and your family find peace.

So. This could not have come at a better time. You have no idea how much I needed this sweet reassurance and comfort that after tragic loss, there is small shimmers of light when grief tries to swallow you whole. You finished this just as I lost my cousin to suicide back in late September. And I was drowning in survivor's guilt because I had attempted and failed myself, several years ago. And to lose my cousin like that drudged up everything from my last attempt that I thought I had healed and moved on from. And this helped me realize that I still have so much to live for and that life, despite everything is still worth living. Especially for my own daughter. Then my grandfather died the day before my 18th wedding anniversary back in November. Not even a month ago. Last night my husband's grandma died. Her death was death 13 that my friend and family circle dealt with. And I feel like at any moment that number is going to jump or multiply. So for me to see this and get this TODAY of all days was just another reminder that no matter much my heart is breaking and aching and hurting. It does get better. It will get better with time. And that even if it feels like that ball is touching all the sides. It will shrink. And there will be a chance to heal, to recover, to live tomorrow and the day after that, and the day after that, etc. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart for this. This was such a precious comfort and soothing balm for my heart, mind and soul. Thank you.
