Finishing Touches

The UK is like a hot country today, I don't know why anyone bothered jetting off to the sun this summer as it's right here. Of course, not being able to go outside is a fine excuse for sitting on my computer getting this remake done. We're now at over 2200 images re-rendered, putting us at almost 90% of the way there. I reckon I'm maybe 2-3 decent sessions away from having that done. That being the case, I'm finally ready to lay out a tentative timescale.
This week: Completing re-renders and sprites
Over the weekend, I completed Karen's scenes, Kaitlyn's scene, Jess crawling under the hedge, the underwear inspection, human statues, hosed down and both hogtied sequences, plus all the little odd bits in between. Still to go are the hazing ritual, group punishment, orchard fights, Emily's sex scene and the rest of the end-of-day punishments. Sprites-wise, there's just the slaves, slavers, Sophia, Miss Tupp, Vicky and the Judge to go. The target is to have those done by the end of Saturday.
Next week: Coding refinements and pre-beta testing
As I've been playing through the bits that are ready, I've been finding many, many things wrong. I went through each section line-by-line when moving the code across, but things got missed or copied wrong, or just work differently on the new system, so before I put anything up here, I'll play through the game myself 2 or 3 times, fixing as I go, to make sure there's nothing glaringly wrong. Hopefully that shouldn't take more than a few days.
End of next week to early week after that: Open Beta Testing!
Once those things are done, all of my supporters from schoolgirl up are invited to participate in the first round of open beta testing of Missy MZ. There'll still be a few bits missing or to-be-completed, which will be what I work on while you're testing. I'll provide a full rundown on what's what, as well as the right way to detect and report bugs. There's no need to apply for beta testing this time around, all supporters are automatically invited.
August: On with 0.5!
There will likely be several rounds of open beta testing. This update has been gigantic - far more work than I anticipated all the way back in March, when I optimistically said it'd take "at least a month." And so there's likely to be a lot to find, however, it won't be wasted time, as while you're enjoying mouse control, bigger and better images and a few little extras I'll be leaving in for you to find, I'll crack on with the Reign of Jess. I'm so excited to be getting back to it, and over the last few months, I've noted down some hella hot ideas for new events, quests and character arcs. I'm absolutely chomping at the bit to get back to making new stuff.
