Chair

I do hope that the tournament doesn't take up to much time. Tbh Im much more interested in see Ysmir's interactions with the dragons and Area.

Ao Black

I'm glad that solved itself so quickly. And damn, Alysanne is pretty awesome with her craftiness! And of course, as always, I'm so glad to see Baratheon get put in his place.

Eternity Smut

His two servants were probably praying in their minds this doesn't escalate bad enough there won't be a city left lol

Caconym

Excellent chapter, thank you. This was the second most "Dragonborn" solution (after pulling an Ulfric) to a very messy situation. I really like the way you set up and navigate these scenes.

John

I think it would be cool but I also think once Alysanne and Rhaena see what he’s capable they will try to get him to marry them.

Benjamin Ludes

I mean maybe it's to early but I think ysmir x Aerea sounds good no? But I have to say this is the best skyrim/dragonborn x asoiaf fanfic I've read till today keep up the good work

Procrastination

Tournament's started, it's just that Ysmir signed up late so he would be in the later roster of things. Essentially there's only so much fighting to the near death that people want to gather to watch every day, and some of it is jousting, some of it melee, etc. So the first "day" Ysmir isn't one of those fighters/etc (that's occurring the day of this chapter, as you would notice). Long term, there's already the planning for at least one more "major" arc beyond this, and within that arc, it's kind of two separate events, so I'd say in an ideal world, we're anywhere from 1/3, to 1/2 into where I had planned up to in broad strokes. This doesn't necessarily mean that's the end though. I can't explain more than that, because that would be spoilers, and I'd be making that final decision that would decide whether it goes further, then.

Anonykor

Great chapter! Was hoping we’d get to the actual tournament by 2025 but it is what it is. Do you have any feel for how long this fic is going to go? It’s setup in a way that makes it seem like it could go for awhile but that would take years.

Valkryia

I’m also looking forward to when the crowds thin out and it becomes apparent that Ysmir is just bulldozing through any opposition. A prince from a broken land fighting hundreds at a queen’s behest. Stories like these are only found in legend and spoken through bards’ lips.

Luke

Now I'm looking forward to when they find out that he adheres to the crown out of politeness instead of need. He's fully willing to show everyone there that his word is the true law

Luke

The plotting here is such a great mixture of what makes ASOIAF and Elder Scrolls so great. Of course the queen would see Ysmir as a deniable asset to create a chance to enforce her new law, especially when a previously trusted advisor warns of how good a fighter he is. And as for Ysmir, we see him preparing to follow through on his draconian instincts, until the queens plot offers him a new route, one that gives him the adrenaline he seeks

Luke

Just finished reading, loved this chapter.
