Despite being confined to a wheelchair and forced to wear a Milwaukee brace to maintain her spine’s straightness, she does remain as active as possible. This does cause problems for her – a foot slipped from the foot rest of her wheelchair leads her to the hospital with a broken ankle. Watch as she is casted and then discharged to resume her busy lifestyle. Both at home and out and about wheeling around, Betty maintains an active schedule despite her handicaps.
