(This is my ex-in-laws dining room table, I was housesitting at the time and smirked knowing the next time I had to sit at a stuffy holiday meal I would remember this shot. One of the best gifts of my divorce was never having to see them again, or sit at this oppressive table.)

Hah! Reminds me of a friend of mine decades ago who had sex with her then-boyfriend on his parents' dining table, for somewhat similar reasons. I don't think the relationship lasted until the holiday meal, though. (Incompatible worldviews, among other things; his view was "us having sex is a sin but I go to confession and it's fine," and she didn't want to be having sex with someone who considered it sinful in the first place!)
