[Genshin Impact] Chapter 95: Damp Cave
🕑 Added 2024-03-05 18:12:45 +0000 UTCNolan gave up the chance to approach the blue spirit and handed it over to the curious Ellin. Although he was also quite curious, Fischl indicated that there was nothing special about it.
Touching it felt like touching air, with no tactile feedback at all.
But what was magical was that the aquamarine translucent spirit would react to it, slowly drifting in a certain direction, just like it was doing now.
Ellin gently touched the blue spirit, and it slowly floated out of the hilichurl shack, flying to the top of the hilichurl shack in everyone's gaze.
Then it slowly stopped and swayed leisurely in place, as if waiting for Nolan and the others.
At this point, someone needed to touch it again for the blue spirit to gain the momentum to continue moving.
"I'll do it since it's so high!"
Nolan said with a light smile, then jumped up and grabbed the protruding wooden board on the roof. With a slight effort, he easily pulled himself up.
Here at the peak was a hole in the center - apparently a Hilichurl architectural quirk. It could collect rainwater or allow smoke to ventilate when cooking inside.
Nolan couldn't comment on whether this design was good or not; he could only say that it was the hilichurls' life experience and wisdom.
As he approached and touched it, the blue spirit moved again, this time drifting towards the distant cliff behind.
Nolan jumped down from the shack roof and ran over to the mountain wall with Fischl, Ellin, and Oz. It was estimated to be about three to four meters high here, and it seemed a bit far to go around, so climbing up was the best choice.
For the few of them, climbing up to this height wasn't too difficult. Even Eileen, who was slightly weaker, practiced swordsmanship every day to train her body, so her physical fitness wasn't weak.
"Oz!" Fischl called out to her raven companion, her hands covered in black silk sleeves.
"Ah, Miss, there's no need for such a small matter," Oz immediately understood what his mistress meant. She probably wanted to use Elemental Burst to fly up to the cliff instantly.
But this would consume stored elemental energy, which came from the use of Elemental Skills. Although it wasn't difficult to collect, it wasn't necessary to waste it.
"Hmph hmph~ You simply don't understand, Oz. As the Princezz der Verurteilung of the Immernachtreich, I must present a poised and elegant figure before my loyal attendants!"
Fischl slightly straightened her chest, the black fishnet bodysuit she wore slightly revealing her fair, soft skin.
She paused, lips pursed, before continuing: "This is the responsibility that a princess must bear as a role model!"
"I see, I understand!" Oz suddenly felt that his mistress made sense.
Due to her personality, Fischl had few friends. As an investigator at the Adventurers' Guild, she rarely needed to team up due to her excellent investigative skills. Most of the time, she acted alone.
So Fischl's thoughts were rarely expressed, but she was indeed affected by her attendants. After all, climbing the mountain slowly in front of them would indeed affect the princess's dignity.
Watching Oz fly Fischl up effortlessly, Nolan felt a tinge of envy. It reminded him of Lisa's research into the Delusion.
I wonder if there's been any progress. He felt that he should visit the library more often in the future. Besides finding opportunities to gain affection, he could also show concern for her research.
After all, this was his closest opportunity to mastering elemental power so far.
The price to pay was just running errands and doing odd jobs for Lisa, which wasn't a problem at all!
With a hint of anticipation, Nolan grabbed onto the protruding spots on the mountain wall and began to climb up. With a few jumps, he easily ascended the three to four-meter height.
Ellin was a bit slower. Some mud stuck to her snow-white legs beneath her shorts. She climbed up and gently patted her knees, smiling. "Hehe, sorry for the wait. Let's continue following the blue spirit."
"It's okay. Since you just had a battle, you can take a break if you're feeling tired," Nolan said, concerned.
"It's fine. Walking actually helps me relax," Ellin said as she stretched her limbs.
Nolan nodded and then lightly waved his hand past the aquamarine translucent spirit. The petite spirit continued to float forward.
Following the blue spirit through hills and valleys, the soles and sides of their shoes turned completely green. This was because there was an unusually large amount of grass in the Mondstadt region.
It was basically impossible to move without stepping on grass.
This made Nolan, who used to be a child who loved plants, feel a slight moment of guilt. He sighed, "The past is gone, but there's nothing I can do about it now." Then he quickly stepped on the grass and continued forward.
The destination the spirit was heading to was a bit far. According to the pocket watch carried by Fischl, it took Nolan and the others over an hour to finally arrive at their destination—the entrance of a dark cave.
Well, after all, the Tevat Continent in reality was much larger than in the game, so it was natural for them to run for a longer time following the blue spirit.
The spirit floated back to its spirit platform and curled up into a ball, looking like a burning aquamarine candle.
At this moment, a wooden treasure chest suddenly appeared in front of the spirit platform with a "bang," just like in the game. It was quite miraculous.
It was difficult to speculate on the power or ability hidden within this.
As for these matters, Nolan, who was still weak, couldn't investigate them. Anyway, it wasn't a bad thing. He happily accepted any benefits.
He let Ellin open the chest. As usual, a pile of dazzling gold coins with a face value of one Moras came into view, mixed with two one-star artifacts.
Hmm, their effects weren't too significant, but it was good to keep them as strengthening materials for higher-star artifacts they might encounter in the future.
For now, Fischl, who possessed the Vision, temporarily took care of these treasures. Then, the group turned their attention to the dark cave.
Oz the Night Raven, who flapped his night-colored wings, pondered for a moment and said:
"Since the blue spirit brought us here, there must be something special about it, right?"
Oz's thoughts were also shared by Nolan and the other two. As adventurers, they couldn't overlook any abnormal locations where they had the chance to find treasure chests.
They had to explore it, of course, but they couldn't rush in recklessly either, as they didn't know what was inside.
If it turned out to be some terrifying monster, it would be no different from sending themselves to their deaths.
"Oz, go forward and search the hidden secrets buried here for this princess!"
Fischl, standing slightly apart with her right leg wrapped in black silk tights and her left leg in thigh-high lace stockings, pointed her finger at the dark cave and instructed Oz.
