Hello From
🕑 Added 2023-05-15 11:04:00 +0000 UTCI got a postcard in the mail today.
From an ex-girlfriend who hasn’t replied to any of my texts since last December.
Hello from [an exotic location].
Thinking of you.
What to make of that?
Thinking of me how? I wish I knew. I always wished I knew.
My messages weren’t vital, a response wasn’t necessary.
(happy holidays, here’s a party invitation, here’s something I thought you’d find beautiful)
Some people aren’t good at texting.
But they’re good at reminding you they love in their own way.
I try to stay open to all of the ways people love.
I’m receptive. I’m open.
I’m thinking of you from a conventional location.
