Life Lessons for Good Girls
🕑 Added 2022-02-11 23:31:48 +0000 UTCAnna had an idea for a photo we could take to promote her upcoming novel, Good Girl.
Her publisher describes the book as “Secretary meets Fleabag” and a “hot and hilarious comic-erotic debut”. Anna is one of the smartest and FUNNIEST people I know, so I have no doubt that the book will be beloved by kinky anxious babes everywhere.
Anna’s idea was to recreate a kinky scene from her book involving a fly swatter as an impact toy. Her vision included a pink bum and her book title, so step one was to make my ass nice and pink.
I thought it would be nice if Anna put in the labour herself, so this moment also became Anna’s first flogging lesson. (Anna famously learned how to eat pussy during a lesson at the mansion a few years back…)
At first I set up a pillow for her to get the hang of the motions, but it didn’t take long before she was ready to practice on my butt.
I pride myself on using the same ethos as my former circus coach, which is that you should always practice every new skill with your left side and your right. It’s better for your brain and your body, and builds better habits. Anna definitely learned how to use her left arm, and she learned how to put some force into it too! Flogging is a workout.
I really loooooove the dynamic of topping a beautiful woman by teaching her how to hit me. Just saying.
Anna autographing my ass. 💖
Fine-tuning the shade of pink with the fly swatter.
And now, because I’m so fucking proud of her, here are some blurbs from people much more famous than me who also think Anna’s book is fantastic:
“Good Girl lures you in with its excellent sex scenes, but it seals the deal with its authentic portrait of what it feels like to be a young woman in the world. Sex, friendship, family, work—who knows what to make of any of it? Anna Fitzpatrick's debut is both funny and titillating, and, like so few early sexual encounters, totally satisfying.”
—Emma Straub, author of All Adults Here and Modern Lovers
“Good Girl is a brilliant debut—sharp, funny, sexy, and unnerving in the best way. Unsentimental but achingly real. Fitzpatrick is a daring new writer to watch.”
—Zoe Whittall, author of The Spectacular and The Best Kind of People
“On feminism, loneliness, and the question of kink, Anna Fitzpatrick bluntly probes the contradictions of sex-positive culture, baring the many ways that shame feeds arousal. Good Girl is a sensitive girl's hardcore.”
—Tamara Faith Berger, author of Queen Solomon
“Anna Fitzpatrick has accomplished an incredible balancing act. Good Girl manages to depict sex and sexuality that is both painful in the way Lucy wants it to be and painful in the awkward and hilarious reality of what it means to navigate relationships and life. In addition to the sex (and there’s a lot of sex), it’s also a story about friendship, the malaise of young adulthood, and, of course, 1970s magazines. Buy this book (unless you are Anna’s parents, and then, maybe skip it).”
—David Iserson, screenwriter, The Spy Who Dumped Me
“Good Girl is an intense ride, with more twists and turns than a pile of rope at the end of an orgy. Plan to be unable to put it down.”
—Stoya, performer and author of Philosophy, Pussycats, and Porn
(When Good Girl is released in Canada this May I’ll be giving away a few copies to Patrons! Stay tuned for more info.)
