Touch me softly.
I’ve been too rattled lately, tossed aside, wrung out.
I need something tender to remind me where I come from.
I come from whimsy, grace, endurance,
I’ve come so far.
Wrap around me, scoop me up and hold me close, rock me.
Call me all of the sweet things that soothe me,
I love how those soft words sound on your tongue.
I’m your baby, softly.

You can buy this gently used vintage blouse here at my store.
The delicate green smocking and pretty embroidered flowers are almost as sweet as the puffed ruffled sleeves and hem. There are snaps at the neck and along the waist. This shirt was my mothers’ in the 70’s, and it looks great with cutoff jeans. Fits small to medium. (The fabric is sheer, fyi.)
