I don’t even have the energy for my usual melancholic vitriol because I’ve been up the last few nights with kids who have a stomach bug….
So instead here is a lopsided winter-window-light selfie, with my back-from the dead poinsettia, the only-made-one-flower Christmas cactus, and my very appropriate sweatshirt.

As for me, I’m looking forward to seeing the fancy ass double bloom tulips I planted last fall. (Dutch-girl dreams. 🌷)
We’re doing a coven wax play date in a few weeks! (Can’t wait to show you photos of hot wax in spring colours on naked winter bodies! 😻)
I’m also looking forward to meeting friends outside for walks and hikes and porch chats. It’s been too cold here for those things for a while.

We just moved into Autumn down under but Spring in QLD is Magpie season and despite their bad reps here I absolutely love Magpies (particularly watching them swoop dudebros) 😅

I'm so excited for the farmers market to reopen again! I have a few girls that work there that I flirt with and show pictures of the bunnies to. When I lived closer to downtown I used to take Penelope to the market when certain girls were in breaks and the springtime always reminds me of that wonderful flirty feelings. I'm hoping to grow a real garden with my partners and the kids. Hopefully with seedlings from the girls at the market so they have extra homey feelings!

Last fall one of my favorite people in the world moved to a house a block away from me, so I'm looking forward to lots of impromptu backyard hangs. Oh, also open windows. And flowering trees. And another +1 for sundresses. Fuck, spring is EVERYTHING.

The spring thing I’m most looking forward to is SUNSHINE ☀️ The PNW steals it from November through about now and I’m just starting to get some *almost* warm and less frequently overcast days. Every year there’s a moment where I can physically feel the winter shed from me and it’s elating. I can’t wait. Alsoooo agree with Terry ab sundresses…
