Floral Fixation
🕑 Added 2022-03-10 05:55:30 +0000 UTCSince he left I’ve bought myself flowers every week. They make me happy every time I walk into a room. Nothing fancy, carnations, roses that have passed their prime so the old man at the market sells them to me cheap, wildflower bouquets I’ve picked from gardens and roadsides and walks. Sometimes branches of lilac bushes or fall leaves. Nothing complicated, but my house is full of flowers.
On the table, in the bedroom, sometimes in the bathroom too, in little thrift store glass vases.
It wasn’t always like this, it wasn’t always this peaceful.
But now.
My house is full of flowers.
