It has daily do’s and don’ts and they’re always weird and tongue in cheek, but today they were spot on.
- A month into lockdown and my diesel dyke love is in desperate need of a haircut. She gets a very specific high and tight fade from a hot ass barber who does straight razor cuts, but the pandemic means she goes without. She’s trying to convince me to try cutting her hair. THE PRESSURE!!!
- I spent today writing letters to Elly and Scout. And sending out this months pretty Postcard club instalment. And working on this months Penpal Packages. So handwritten letters were a good part of my day.
- In ending my marriage I’m taking a great big elephant sized stand against my life long people pleasing pedigree. It’s coming from deep down inside of me, these clear boundaries somehow lead to more clear boundaries and it’s becoming second nature.
- I’ve been having some anxieties about being in too deep with Max. I think it’s natural for a girl who’s dismantling one future to be hesitant about building another amidst the rubble, so I’m being patient with myself and using my big girl words to let her know that I need to slow down our future focus and just spend some time in the now. The now is so fucking good.
I’ve been using my heart as a compass. Trying to remember ro trust my gut and put myself first. New habits. Good habits.

My hair wisdom is....... it always grows back. Have fun with it. The more you do it, the better you'll get. (Absolutely talking about haircuts ;-))
