You pushed first.

I wanted to give you all of the delicate things I’ve grown, how many times did I let you crush them? You can’t help me tend to my garden after you’ve salted the earth. You can’t lay claim to all of the fruit, it was yours and you let it rot. These are my flowers now.
(I just found this text in my tumblr drafts from 2015... never posted because I got back together with my ex after writing it. But I’m free now, and all the flowers are mine.)
