Usually it’s chocolates, sometimes hand-me-down clothes or shoes, once in a while it’s a lamp or mirror or painting. When she gave me this mirror I didn’t want to say no, my mother had one just like it when I was a little girl, but there was nowhere in my house for a mirror with a stand. So I brought it to the cabin and put it in the forest. Narnia vibes.
Today is a terrible day for chronic pain, I’m aching and grumpy, BUT... there are blessings because work was cancelled (!!!) and I can smoke joints and take my meds and wrap myself in my electric blanket. A few days of fun always flares up my pain issues... but life is for living and I’m here to live it. Grateful for a quiet day to recover.
