Date Night Woes
🕑 Added 2019-07-13 01:17:49 +0000 UTCYou know what I hate? I hate it when my partner has a date and accidentally gets ready early, so they’re just kind of milling around anxiously trying to kill time. There is something about the space I need when my lover is leaving for a date, and the nervous idle energy of someone watching the clock that just makes the tension in the room sizzle. Those energies can’t share the same air.
I’m bitter sometimes and I just need to be left alone. I need to watch gay movies while I eat cherry ice cream with no pants on the couch. I need to pout and feel like shit and wallow a little. Don’t we all need to do that sometimes when we feel small?
I light candles, I wear my comfiest T-shirt, I take gratuitous photos of my candlelit booty to send to a boy. He doesn’t deserve it, but I’m lonely. I miss having someone who fawns over me, someone hungry for me and all my parts.
I don’t mind dating myself on these nights alone until someone worthy comes along.
