Forget Me Not
🕑 Added 2019-03-23 23:52:27 +0000 UTCI got a notification about “flagged posts” on a private tumblr I used to use for keeping photos organized. As I scrolled through the list of posts that had been blocked I came across a black and white set I forgot even existed. They’re intimate photos my ex took of me when we first started dating. An emotional landmine. I love these pictures. They were taken 8 years ago, in his apartment, in his bed, when he first got his camera.
I remember him asking, while I was getting dressed to leave, if he could take my picture. It feels like a lifetime ago. But there I am, 2011 me, glowing from spending time wrapped up in his arms, pausing while I put my socks on to pose for his new camera.
When I look at this picture, I can remember how he made me feel.
