i dont know if you understood why bjorn wanted to die by the sword but it was because vikings at that time believed that warriors only get to go to valhalla (viking heaven) if they die like a brave warrior in battle. So askaladd did him a favor by killing him there because he would have died anyway because of his injuries from the battle before. im really excited for you to see season 2 because i think it will resonate a lot with your own believes.
