Right! You can be a good person and do bad/rude things, and vice versa. I can't say Arashi is a bad person, but I can say her actions have been unkind and dismissive. She interrupted Souta and Nao's not a date-date outing cause of her crush. Just cause she had a reason doesn't mean her actions weren't rude. She's dismissed Souta in favor of paying attention to her crush. Sure teens may do that. That doesn't mean it's not rude. Impact vs intention is a thing. She's intending to get close to Nao. She's negatively impacting Souta and subsequently, Nao.

Let me just say the biggest and really most important reason to not like Arashi is the fact that she was rude to person she supposedly likes best friend, and then also only bothered to interact with him because she needed something. I’m not saying that she needs to feel the need to get close to Souta but I do think that the way she’s so far treated him isn’t really justified. I do however hope that they all just become a big group of friends and move past this because I don’t dislike her as a character I just don’t like the way she’s treating Nao’s friends as of right now.

Can’t speak for those who don’t like Arashi. This is just my opinion and view. Arashi having a crush is not my problem with her. Her role with the main plot does not bother me in the slightest. I’ve personally stated it’s just the way she acted that specific day. For me the way she acted that day spoke volumes to me. Now folks can disagree with me and that’s fine. We’re all entitled to our own views. Now for this update, this is one of those lessons, don’t do to others what you wouldn’t want done to you. So yeah, rude is rude, but I find today’s situation comical because she did the same not too long ago.

personally I don't like her cause she's not picking up on social queues at all, not because she's a teenage girl with a crush. I've been that delusional teen myself with crushes, and know how easy it is to get wrapped up in that delusion but teens still aren't excused from picking up social queues or reading the room (in whichever shape or form, I'm autistic so I prefer to straight up ask if I don't know people enough to feel confident I'd read the room correctly, lol). I just think she still isn't considerate of or even sparing a second thought to the people around her, and if she were a boy as a love-rival I would have the same issues and qualms with her as a character too. which is kinda sad, cause I really liked her in the beginning - I do however have high hopes that they'll all be friends after she also realizes (and souta stops self deprecating, and does something about his own crush)!!! I do however agree with how weird it is to call her a slut just for having a crush, like come on, most of us have been in the same delulu, rosetinted, tunnelvisioned state at some point or another???

I know we are all rooting against Arashi because the comic is literally about Nao and Souta getting together but I can't really hate her the way others seem to. She hasn't done anything wrong and from her perspective might even think that Souta is acting as Nao's wingman by giving her the tickets and everything. It is pretty reasonable for a teenage girl having gone up to her crush's friend and asking for gift ideas to get those tickets and think "Is this something sort of secret setup because my crush actually likes me? And now his friend (who would presumably know if my crush liked me) is trying to help us get together?" She's not a bad person for not knowing the truth of the situation but people are acting like she knowingly schemed to take the tickets from Souta and is accordingly being punished. I guess I don't quite understand the vitriol towards her for something she hasn't done yet.
