I remember there being crack theories back when Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) came out that Venom 3 would be about Sleeper (symbrock baby, essentially) or some other like, child of Venom and Eddie. Consider a world where this movie was a road trip where Eddie is trying to figure out why he feels like shit and Venom is like "do not worry Eddie, that is just our child growing within our bond" and then Eddie has a whole crisis about being a dad(mom) and then bonds with the hippie family while they have weird double speak conversations with Martin about expecting a baby (Where Eddie of course believes that he is somehow going to give birth? while Martin is thinking this weird wet cat man has someone waiting for him in New York.) I'm picturing the phrase "we gotta get you to New York before the baby gets here, man! No mama should go through that alone" and Eddie stares blankly trying to figure out if he was just called a mom or...oh, no he thinks I abandoned my baby momma that makes a lot more sense...

I am guessing you haven't seen Spider Man: No Way Home? Which is literally the only way to understand the multiverse bit. In fact that EXACT same post credit scene is in No Way Home.

and it's so crazy because venom 2 was all but making them canon, and then in this one they just don't escalate it! i didn't need them to smooch on screen but i did want one of them to drop the L-word!

Venom and Eddie being a couple isn't even too out there considering that in the comics they have canonically done the nasty together. Venom specifically hit him with the "I know his body inside and out and know how to please him better than any woman can" and Eddie's just... Into that. They literally had a CHILD together (biologically!) In one arc

I also wish they explained way more of what was going on with her lol, the look of her symbiote is the only thing that clued me into the comic character connection so I was just as confused until then and after that moment i was only 2% less confused

Juno Temple is I think supposed to be Agony from the comics which is why I think they gave her the backstory but they just didn't really elaborate or connect that at all
