News! ( And a wall of text! )
🕑 Added 2019-11-20 02:45:46 +0000 UTCAnd finally it's time for some news, I have not forgotten about the new releases, and pending stuff, I've been just really, really, really busy, even way more than usual, new hardware and new software, new headaches, new tests, this thing works, this other doesn't... First , the new genesis 8 models, along all the stuff I have bought during the last seven months (which is still lacking in some areas) I had already tested a couple in the old computer, but in the new one I had a lot of stuff to try, more than a dozen of new female characters, and plus some more male ones, plus new clothes, new hairs, new poses... new scenes... everything new... and Since now I have a RTX 2070 super I also had to test I-ray rendering...
Looks good, right? and less than five minutes of rendering! Sadly, after a whole evening of testing it seems that right now the program or the Nvidia drivers are fucked up, because I could not make it work right again after updating the drivers ( and before it stopped working correctly after adding the characters) so I will have to wait and see, because I'm not the only one that right now is having problems with it.
And about about vue, some bittersweetness, seeing the 12 cores and their 24 threads devouring a render is great, it's easier to add stuff, which is helpful because textures are way more complex now and they need a lot of work to add more layers of detail, and the new NVMe SSD Drive also loads scenes and big stuff really fast... however there are some annoyances, I've got a bunch of crashes while getting used to the new vue and the camera has got worse and sometimes is quite wonky... but the worst is that the problem with the hair rendering persist, it seems related to the hair model rather than the textures size, and some are better than other, but I managed to make even the worst one work at decent rendering times, like the first image, while increasing the overall image quality too ( sweet smooth lines!)
And the final one, I lost like three days with this ( indoor scenes and vue still don't mix well... and it's still quite lacking, but since I've found better ways to tune the rendering I hope I think I could Improve its look, so this scene and story will have to wait a bit more...
And that's it, expect a short story with the first image setting ( this week?) the oneshot tomorrow ( since now I have two computers I can render with one, and edit, or do pose files with the other one) and about I think I could have news for the main project of the month this week too.
