Danny was determined to get into shape.
As a trans guy, it was sometimes hard to keep the weight off. And four years of college had not been kind to him. Now at twenty-two, Danny was undeniably chubby. Every day he would look in his mirror and frown at what his stressful coursework had done to his previously lean frame.
That was where this new exercise supplement came in. He had found it cheap online — it was a knockoff of a more popular drug, but Danny had heard this one was twice as effective. Or so the website reviews reported.
Danny lifted the bottle, reading the dosage. The instructions said to take one capsule a day. He popped one into his mouth and gulped it down dry, but then paused in thought for a moment. The stuff was supposed to be all natural. What was the harm in taking two?
And so, Danny took a second capsule and doubled the dosage, peacefully oblivious to the fact that what he had just consumed was not a diet supplement, but in fact, a highly addictive cocktail of bovine fertility drugs. With that, he grabbed his duffel bag and headed for the gym. He was sure he could squeeze in a couple of miles on the treadmill before he headed to the office.

A few weeks later, Danny released a belch. He belatedly covered his mouth with his hand, reddening as several of his coworkers threw him disgusted looks from the surrounding cubicles.
Danny’s diet was not going well. He exercised an hour every day, and continued to take this supplement religiously, but the weight was only piling on. He wasn’t sure why. Sure, he had his little cheats now and then, when he couldn’t help himself from a bag of chips or a box of donuts. But it hardly explained how chubby he was getting.
Danny also found himself hot and flustered a lot of the time, sweating profusely at even the slightest increase of temperature, and he ordinarily didn’t even sweat at all.
Most uncomfortably, his chest was getting…softer. Danny had always been flat-chested, even from birth. He hadn’t needed top-surgery. So it was both strange and horrifying to see that he was now, after fully transitioning and becoming a well-adjusted male, was arbitrarily starting to develop breasts. They were still small. Danny hoped, once he got his diet under control, and started shedding pounds instead of gaining them, that maybe it would go back to normal. Because as things were, he had a full pair of A-cups on his chest, and they were only getting bigger.
And people were starting to give him curious looks. People who had never thought twice about his gender at all. Not that Danny was ashamed of it. He was proud to be trans. But he didn’t exactly…advertise it. Perhaps he had gotten a bit smug with how smoothly his transition had gone. It wasn’t a secret, it was just so true to him, and had always been so perfect. So it had been one less thing he’d had to explain at public restrooms or the gym lockers at his old campus. The transition had been seamless.
There was another thing. Lately, Danny found the supplement to be quite…pleasant, somehow. He wasn’t sure why, but he really did take it diligently. He even took it on the days he didn’t work out, or didn’t intend to follow his rigid sugar-free diet. He took the supplement every single day without fail, usually one capsule, but sometimes two. Two when he was feeling a bit…agitated. He couldn’t really explain it, but he had come to rely on the supplement somehow. It just made his day better when he took one in the morning. Good and reliable, like a cup of coffee.
Feeling another bubble in his stomach, Danny got up and hurried towards the bathroom, fearful of another belch coming up. But his gut relaxed and he realized it was a false alarm. Lightly shaking his head, he wondered what he had eaten that was giving him this indigestion. He sighed and went to the bathroom sink, surveying himself in the mirror. His chest did look slightly bigger under his button-down, but it was hardly noticeable. His hips appeared a bit fuller as well, his trousers straining at the sides. The sight of it made him wrinkle his nose.
A toilet flushed. Through the mirror, Danny could see his boss come out of one of the stalls.
Being the regional manager, Peter Chase was usually dressed crisp and professionally in expensive suits. Danny was surprised to see him in a T-shirt and bike shorts. Fitted bike shirts. Tight enough that Danny could see the prominent bulge at his groin, and it made Danny’s eyes go wide for some reason. As Peter came up to the sink beside him, Danny quickly averted his eyes and pretended to be washing his hands. He felt a little breathless.
“Jacobs,” Peter greeted as he washed hands.
“Mr. Chase,” Danny responded awkwardly.
Then Peter departed, and Danny was left standing with his hands hanging under the running faucet. He was suddenly very conscious of the way his nipples were rubbing into the cotton of his shirt. He felt warm and flushed, a tiny groan escaping his throat.
