Melissa Cygnus was a genius, and incidentally, a cyborg as well.
Her limbs were woven with metal and wires. The top of her head was a metal crown from which hair descended composed of fine green cables.
Her face and torso were the more organic parts of her body, though those too had mechanical additions and enhancements.
Melissa was a head taller than the typical man. She had a curvy physique, thick thighs, and large round breasts protruding from her chest.
She had replaced pieces of herself one by one. It had started with minor surgeries composed with her collaborators. She would go in to replace a damaged tendon with one that was synthetic and superior. Or she would correct a heart murmur by replacing the entire organ with a mechanical one of her own design that was superior in every way and would last several times more long than the original.
Soon she became addicted to it. Enhancing her body in every way she could think to. By then her mechanical parts outnumbered the organic ones, and she couldn't be more pleased with what she had created. She was a superior being.
Which made it all the odder to Melissa that she had been feeling off since that morning.
Typically her sensations were consistently comfortable, so she worried that some part of her was malfunctioning. Intriguingly, the living parts of her body were the most impacted. Certain areas were swollen. Others, tender. Melissa ran a simple diagnostics program and was astounded by what she found.
Extraordinary.
She was pregnant. Melissa hadn't even known it to be possible. Of course, she had taken measures to keep her reproductive parts intact. Honestly, they were better than intact. They had been enhanced in many ways. Still, Melissa had never been certain that the parts were even functional. After all, she was more machine than woman. Well, now she knew.
Melissa was anxious but also proud. In her free sexual exploits, she had never considered this to be a possibility, and found herself to be entirely unprepared.
"Oohhhh..." Melissa gasped as a feeling of tension blossomed in her stomach. The chiseled muscles there steadily smoothed out as her gray flesh shuddered forward, developing a growing curve.
She breathed through it, skin warming as her belly inched forward until she looked as though she was seven months with child. It was amazing. Her body was accelerating the pregnancy. Melissa gave a contented sigh as the growth spurt slowly came to an end, her hands settling on the new curve of her abdomen.
It had felt so good. She panted as she continued to explore the mound with her fingers, her insides feeling extraordinarily full. Her belly was pulsing. She could feel it. Throbbing with the growing life there. At this rate she would have her offspring far before she was even close to ready.
This was true a breakthrough. Melissa began to make her way towards her home office, intending to document what she could and contact some of her scientist colleagues and collaborators, but then a new surge of pressure had her freezing up and holding onto the wall. She grunted as her belly shoved and advanced, starting to shelf and heave up her breasts, which was no easy feat. Each of her breasts was two feet in width. "Ngghhh!" Melissa took several gasps when the growth spurt ended. She looked as though she was due with twins. She took a moment to catch her breath, chest heaving.
Melissa hummed and shifted her weight, suddenly disinclined to move. She felt on the cusp of another growth spurt. "Mmmm..." she was so full, her body warm and keen. She knew that birth would be soon.
There were now shivers of movement. Melissa moved her fingers down to massage them, when a new growth spurt crashed through her, more forceful than the others. Her belly bounced and practically rolled forward, quickly growing to outspan the rest of her. She moaned and arched as it continued to advance until she was gasping and leaning back on the wall because her arms could no longer reach it. She was now supporting a belly that had to be five feet in circumference.
This was so new for her. Melissa was enhanced to perfection, physicality usually effortless. It was a strain to experience this pressure and tension. But it was good. Her girth felt heavy and low on her loins. She continued to cradle what she could reach of her mass, knowing that labor would come soon.
