Edward had thought that Tim would shrink down a good deal after the release of all the fluid, but Tim was still as huge as ever. He looked as though he had a small bolder attached to his torso. He was flushed, sweaty, whimpering, and crying.
At least the contractions were now actually impactful. Edwards could see it in the way Tims belly shuddered with tension and progressively shoved down. Tim had already tried changing positions at least a dozen times. James and Edwards helped him to walk around to see if that would help. But Tims baby soon got so low, that it was too awkward for him to walk. Sobbing, he leaned his hands on the wall, belly pressing it, and legs spread wide. He groaned and strained. James helped him to his knees as Edward watched, almost in a daze.
He couldnt believe how huge he had gotten, belly a massive, pale globe, that Tims shirt didnt even attempt to enclose. It was wider than he was, pushing out several inches on either side of him. It was daunting on Tims struggling body.
Snapping out of his reverie, Edward waddled over and did his best to help. He was getting along in his own condition, his belly round and tight, looking at term by then. The thought of how rapidly his own body seemed to be growing made him uneasy as he kneeled down beside Tim.
Mtired, Tim mumbled breathlessly. Just want to lie down.
James hesitated. Fine, but you still have work to do, he conceded.
They eased Tim back on the carpet, stuffing some pillows under his head and back.
More comfortable? James asked.
Tim shrugged, then shuddered, and gripped his belly, his face going red as he pushed as hard as he could.
Okay, were finally crowning, James said.
Holy shit, Edward blurted.
W-what? Tim asked.
Nothing, everythings fine, said James, shooting Edward a glare.
Thats the biggest head Ive ever fucking seen, Edward mentioned.
Tim groaned just as another contraction started up, the noise tapering to a pained whine as he pressed into his belly with his hands. He fidgeted, twisted, and shuddered as he was wracked with contraction after contraction, but there was no progress. The baby seemed stuck. Fuck, oh fuck, he cried as he continued to paw at his mass, the hugest belly Edward had ever seen.
Tim, you can do this, said James.
Edward was doubtful. He cupped his own belly in unease. With a glance at James, he could see that James was already showing with another round of two or three babies. Multiples suddenly didnt sound so bad at that moment. He was sure James was counting his blessings.
I think Im gonna pass out, Tim managed.
No, Tim. Thats not an option, said James.
Gnnghhhhh mmphhhhh Tim pushed, trembling with pain and effort. The baby moved, maybe a fraction.
You can do this, said James, massaging Tims belly, because Tims hands had gone slack. Youre doing such a great job, he lied and encouraged.
Edward watched Tims belly lurch slightly as a new contraction began to start.
Tim gave a hoarse scream, his head going back as the baby shuddered out another inch. James quickly covered his mouth, trying not to wake his parents, responsible idiot that he was.
It went on like this, James and Edward both pale and sweaty, even though it was Tim who was doing all the work.
The head was finally out after what felt like ages. Edward felt dizzy with fatigue. He went to the freezer and heaved out a tub of chocolate chunk ice cream, before he retired with it to the couch, where he continued to watch the scene in morbid fascination.
Just the shoulder, James was saying. You got this, okay, Im gonna try to shift it a littleokay, there we go.
There was a squalling cry as James lifted the largest baby Edward had ever seen in his life. He choked.
You win, Tim, said Edward weakly. Forever.
Tim gave a shaky laugh and slumped back.
Dont go to sleep yet, said James uneasily. I think theres more.
No, Tim feebly protested. Edward felt uneasy. He continued to stuff spoon fulls of ice cream into his mouth. His nipples ached as the huge baby continued to wail.
Edward, take her for a moment.
Whatno, Edward protested, as James came over, shoved the tub of ice cream to the side, and dumped the baby into his arms. James yanked down his shirt, and set the giant brat right against his nipple. F-fuck. Edward squirmed. He hated nursing. It was usually James thing.
James quickly returned to Tims side. Tim, you have to keep pushing.
Edward checked the clock nervously. It was getting dangerously close to their flight check-in time, and Tim was clearly still pregnant. This was a disaster.
Cmon, Tim, just a little more James urged.
No, IIm not in labor anymore.
Tim, youre clearly still
No, this ones not ready yet. Tim swallowed and ran his hand over the decent-sized bump still present on his abdomen. He caught Edwards eye across the room. I think this ones yours.
Oh, said Edward blankly, his uneasiness exacerbating. He was having a baby with one of his best friends. He gulped.
God, its a mess in here. Unsurprisingly, James immediately went back to fretting over the stains on the carpet.
Shut up James, were gonna miss our flight. Edward grabbed his cellphone out of his pocket. Go wake your parents. Im calling us a cab to the airport.
