-
In her eighteen years of life, Susana had never been so stunned as she was by the rapid changes her body was undergoing. Her belly was massive. She could hardly carry it on her own anymore, not without swaying and waddling, an attendant never far from her shoulder.
Susana chewed on another handful of snacks. She couldnt seem to stop.
She had spent most of the evening perched on a large, sumptuous bedher bedagainst feather-soft sheets and fluffy pillows, as she ate, and ate, and ate, with no consequence aside from encouraging nods, and more food being provided. She ate until she felt uncomfortable, and yet she ate yet more, almost afraid that she would have to leave this place, and to all the delicious food and flavors would cease.
She was unfamiliar with the softness of the beds, carpets, and seats that surrounded her. Susana was used to sleeping on the dusty stones of dark alleyways, and sometimes the jagged wood floors of abandoned houses. The softness here was a completely new sensation and she couldnt get enough of it.
Susana also liked the increasing softness of her body. Her fingers glided over the thick layer of fat that coated the firmness inside her belly. Her body was usually all sharp angles and concave lengths of tight skin, but now she carried weight within her, the fatty softness of the rich, the fertility of a princess. It was exciting, and it was terrifying. Nevertheless, Susana wanted more and more.
As she continued to compulsively stuff the sweet softness of the dough-balls into her mouth, and chew themor sometimes elect to swallow them down wholeSusana gazed through the large window of her new bedroom. She was on one of the top floors of the palace, and from there Susana could see that the streets were alight with birth-year celebrations. Never had she seen the city so brightly-decorated, and never had she seen it from such a perfect viewpoint. She had never known how beautiful her city was.
She felt as though she could gaze on it for hours. It was like she was living a dream. In the span of an hour, Susana had gone from being a street peasant to a princess, and it was overwhelming. She was almost afraid of waking up.
Ohh, she groaned, as her belly bumped lightly against the window ledge. She was growing fast. Susana took an unsteady step back, and an attendant was quickly at her shoulder, guiding her around and away from the window. It is almost time, princess.
Susana gulped. O-okay, she managed. She took a handful of doughballs for fear of having them taken away.
It made sense that it was almost time. She was huge. The attendant waited patiently for her to finish her latest bowl of snacks. Afterwards, Susana tried to waddle alongside the attendant, but still felt as though she might teeter forward. Another attendant was immediately beside her, and together they ushered Susana out of the wide entryway of her room.
Her belly bobbled uncomfortable with each of her slow steps forward. The mound was wider than the rest of her, her navel bulging out visibly in her stretched gown. She looked far larger than what was considered due, or so she supposed, based on the shaded paintings of former queens she had seen in the corridors.
Susana was very large. She was an oddity as far as she understood, this idea supported by the stares and whispers the attendants gave when they thought she wasnt paying attention. Just being a second princess was an anomaly, and Susana still couldnt tell whether it was a good or bad thing.
Susanas belly preceded her into the new chamber she was led to. She immediately frowned at the warmth of it. The room had a soft rug, and numerous other soft surfaces like most other rooms she frequently. Susana saw that Cona was already present. The other girl was standing barefoot on the rug, looking flushed, and rubbing the sides of her round belly. Cona was staring at Susana. Did Susana really look that large? Then again, Conas belly looked almost small to Susana. Proper and appropriate in size, no unusual and extreme. Like the image of the model queen.
Susana staggered a few more steps into the room, before choosing a spot that was far enough from Cona that she could see her, but not so close that either would feel uncomfortable. Susana eased herself down on her knees, and slowly shifted onto her bottom. The heat seemed to spike, or was it just her? She breathed through it, breathed heavily, as the heat built and built.
Cona paced somewhat, rocking cutely, looking pretty, flushed as she was. Even in this state, her movements were precise and elegant. Susana felt sloppy, sprawled as she was on the rug, legs spreading. Ohhhh she groaned unintentionally.
Midnight, an attendant intoned.
The attendants seemed to be closing in, each watching her intently, waiting expectantly.
Susana could no longer see Cona, except for the occasional gap an attendant made when they shifted, and a flash of Cona became visible. Susana suddenly wanted to be nearer to her sister. She felt terrified. What if she didnt produce an egg, as was expected of her? What if she failed at that, and produced nothing?
As she laid back, her belly felt heavy against her, rising and falling as she struggled to breathe. Her plumpened skin seemed to quiver slightly. And then there was another unpleasant squeezing sensation. Susana twisted her face but kept herself from grunting out for fear of disapproval.
An attendant helped Susana to spread her legs wider. She wasnt in pain, just uncomfortable from the repetitively squeezes to her insides, something shifting inside of her.
She heard a groaned whimper across the roomConaand then a cry, and gasping noises. It sounded as though Cona was in a lot of pain, but Susana didnt understand it. Maybe the other girl was just being dramatic. She was the proper princess after all.
To Susana, the pain was slight and tolerable. The worse part was the heat, and the sweating. She also couldnt stand the overbearing attendants, but dared not speak of it. She pressed her lips. Mmmgghhh Susana experienced a particularly hard squeeze. She pushed herself up on her elbows. Through the attendants, she got a glimpse of Cona. Cona was squatting, and trembling.
Labor seemed to go on and on, Susanas hips rocking, her back now twinging with pain. She felt the egg coming, sinking closer to her opening. She tried to navigate her hand between her legs, but her belly was in the way, and she just couldnt reach it.
It is alright my princess, and attendant assured quietly. Several feet away, Cona was sobbing.
Susana released a harsh sigh as she pushed. She felt her body bulge, stretch, quiver, and finally release something. She panted harshly, and sunk back down to her back.
An egg was lifted. It was sleek and white, and was about the size of a cantaloupe. Susana was amazed that it had come out of her.
There were elated murmurs, and smiles. Youve done well, someone assured her.
Susana knew that Cona was still struggling, but it didnt matter. Susana had accomplished her duty.
Susana was startled when a sharp pain shot through her stomach. She shifted back up onto her elbows, and looked down at her belly, which was still large and round, if smaller. Her face contorted as she experienced another short pain. But the attendants did not notice, as they were still fussing over the egg. Even one of Conas attendants had come over to get a look at it.
Mmgghhh, Susana tried to suppress a groan, as she felt a new mass shift low on her hips. The attendants had finally quieted down, and taken notice of her predicament. Susana rocked her hips gently, urging the heavy object to her opening. Her belly contracted, before something crowned. She winced. Pushed. Her legs quivered. And a new mass plopped lightly onto the rug.
She knew that it was another egg. Feeling exhausted, Susana sunk back down onto the rug. She kept her eyes closed, not wanting to see the shocked expressions, or the disgust, or to know the consequences of her increasing oddness. Her hand slid to her stomach, which was no longer large and round, but sort of soft. It was nice. She was fond of the softness. She felt like proper royalty, at least for the moment.
Two... said an attendant blankly. How is this possible?
It is unprecedented, said another.
A blessed miracle!
Someone get the queen!
Susana felt herself drifting off with her insecurities doused. She fruitlessly tried to open her eyes. She heard a choked cry. Had Cona finally given birth?
If so, then she was happy. Cona deserved her chance to rest.
Susanas eyes fluttered open just long enough for her to find all six of her and Conas attendants surrounding her, all of them gazing at her eggs in amazement.
Feeling content, Susana fell asleep on the softness of the rug. It wouldnt be until morning that she would learn that Cona had gone missing at some point during the commotion.
