Rebecca had been truly amazed when her theft of T-Rex DNA had gone unnoticed at the lab. She had stolen a single scale from a precious sample that had been uncovered from a rainforest in South America a few weeks prior. The discovery had been a big deal, the aged bit of tissue constantly under observation. But being an intern, Rebecca had not found difficulty getting close.
She had quickly been able to sell the scale to some fanatic on the internet for a couple thousand, too. It had made a decent dent in her student loan balance. And it had been so easy, she couldnt resist doing it again.
One evening, Rebecca stayed late in the lab, pretending to be poring over paperwork regarding an experiment she had been conducting. She whined to anyone within earshot that she was stressed out about her dissertation, hence the sudden need for overtime. And then she waited until all the other interns and scientists left before lifting her head from her papers and making her move.
Her entry code granted her access to the room with the T-Rex DNA. Rebecca crept towards the climate-controlled box hosting the skin sample, again entering her access-code, then sliding the glass aside. Removing a tweezer from her pocket, she carefully reached out to the skin, clipping off the tiniest fraction, then placing it in a petri dish she had pulled out of her other pocket.
What do you think youre doing?
Rebecca nearly dropped everything she was carrying. She turned around and stared in shock at Dr. Reginald, the head scientist at the lab.
I
I just
A million thoughts were running through Rebeccas head. First, that she would be kicked out of her Phd program after six years of continuous work and study. Second, she realized that she would likely get arrested, and spend at least a few years in prison for her offense. Third, that as an ex-con, she would never be able to find work, or re-enroll in her program. These thoughts went on and on in a slippery slope of doom, the scenarios stacking up and growing more elaborate as Rebecca stood there, shaking, waiting to see what Dr. Reginald would do.
The man in question ran his fingers through his goatee. I see you have an interest in Tyrannosaurus-Rex DNA. Thats good. Youll be the perfect subject for my experiment. He began to walk off, but then called back to Rebecca, What are you waiting for? Come along.
Rebecca hesitated, and followed.
And that was where her real troubles began.
A week later, Rebecca was rushing to get to work on time. Since the incident, she had found herself unable to get much sleep, often sweating through her blankets, and suffering strange body-aches, especially in her lower half.
Rebecca found she was often exhausted as well, having to drag herself about her apartment every morning when she got ready for work at the lab.
It may have had something to do with the experiment.
Following the incident at the lab, Reginald had brought Rebecca back to his office, and proposed an experiment to Rebecca in such complex and archaic terminology, Rebecca had barely understood a word of it. The one thing she had caught was that her theft would go unreported, further, it would be forgiven. And so, Rebecca had nodded and smiled in assentation, before Dr. Reginald proceeded to liquefy the sample, radiate it, mixed it with chemicals, and inject it into Rebecca buttocks with the promise that Rebecca would not regret it.
That was a lie.
Afterwards, Rebecca had proceeded to her home, knowing that Reginald was famous in the scientific world for his extreme ideas and low success rates. Rebecca wasnt sure what Dr. Reginald hoped to accomplish by injecting her with dinosaur DNA, but Rebecca imagined the sample would be destroyed in her bloodstream like any other irregularity.
That morning, after Rebecca got in the shower, washed her face, and proceeded to clean her body, her hand encountered an unusual protrusion on her lower back. A considerable knot had developed at her tailbone, at least two inches in diameter, and it had definitely not been there a few days before.
Rebecca stood there, stunned for a moment. Her initial suspicion was that it was a tumor, but that seemed implausible. Tumors didnt grow that rapidly or did they? Rebecca then thought of the chemically-treated and radiated T-Rex DNA that had been injected into her body. Could this have something to do with that?
Rebecca quickly got dressed and headed back to the lab, going straight to Reginalds office, where she closed the door and locked it behind her. What did you do to me? she demanded.
Reginald looked up from some forms he had been filling out on his desk. What do you mean? He looked concerned, but also a bit excited.
Rebecca grinded her teeth, then turned her back on Dr. Reginald, pushing the waistband of her pants down just enough to reveal the bulge that had formed at her tailbone. As Rebeccas fingers brushed against it, it felt even more pronounced than it had that morning!
Its started, said Dr. Reginald, staring.
What was starting exactly? Dr. Reginald went on to claim that Rebecca would single-handedly revive the dinosaur species.
Rebecca could do little more that glare at him before stalking off again, resenting that she had become a lab-rat. Rebecca decided that she would monitor the growth on her own, even see a specialist if things came to that.
But things got out of hand more quickly than Rebecca could keep up with. By the following day, the growth had doubled in size, now distended and protruding, appearing as an oval lump behind her waistband.
Within another two days, the mass was three inches, pointed and had even developed a twitch. The way she had it protruding from her tail bone made it almost look like she was developing a
Rebecca had to tie a sweater around her waist to conceal the growth at the lab. That morning at work, she entered Reginalds office, closed the door, then demanded to know, Whats happening to me??
The mass was not the extent of Rebeccas changes up to that point. She was sure that her hips seemed wider. Quite a bit wider. Her bottom was a plumper, thighs fuller, and her stomach seemed bloated. Ordinarily Rebecca would not be too concerned about weight gain, but being that all this had occurred over the matter of a few days, she was decidedly anxious.
Youre progressing quite smoothly, said Reginald, his eyes drinking Rebecca in. Why look, youre already starting to show.
Show? What are you talking about? said Rebecca.
Reginald simply gestured to Rebeccas abdomen, still wearing that unpleasant smile of his. And if all goes according to plan, youll be experiencing quite a few other changes, Rebecca. The mutation I programmed into the T-Rex DNA is designed to cause you to replicate and reproduce it. Your DNA is being rewritten as we speak.
Rebecca was uneasy by these words. Replicate and reproduce?
Youve already started taking on attributes of the T-Rex DNA absorbed into your body. And by now, a clutch of eggs should have formed. Theyre growing inside you at this very moment.
This was too much for Rebecca to handle. Youre insane, she said, trying to dismiss Reginalds allegation, but everything the head scientist had said seemed to be consistent with Rebeccas changes. Rebecca began to sweat. We have to reverse this, she said weakly. Reginald was insane, but he was also a genius. If anyone could pull off such an experiment, it would be him.
Reverse? Madness. I wouldnt think youd want to spend the next twenty years in jail. Theft is a serious offense, especially when it comes of government properties one such property being the contents of this lab.
Rebecca was well aware of this. Speechless she shook her head. Shed never thought her boss could sink so low. Feeling sick, she turned and left.
Over the next few days, the lump the tail continued to protrude farther and farther from her tailbone, to Rebeccas distress. Soon it was sticking out above Rebeccas waistband, and there was little she could do to hide it. At work, it poked out in the back of Rebeccas lab coat. The other interns gave Rebecca strange or curious looks but Rebecca took to ignoring them, too frustrated to try to explain or disguise the situation.
In a matter of days, the tail was eight inches long, and three inches thick at the base. To Rebeccas horror, it twitched and moved about, covered in nerves and muscles that gave it the sensation that it was like any of her other appendages. One evening Rebecca ran her fingers along it, shivering at the feeling of her digits ghosting over the newly formed system of bones, ligaments, and blood vessels developing there. She just couldnt believe that she had a tail!
As the tail continued to lengthen, and thicken, Rebecca also noticed that her stomach was getting fuller, just as Reginald had predicted. Everything was happening so quickly. Soon her flat abdomen had developed into a rounded gut. She did her best to conceal it, not wanting to give Reginald the satisfaction of seeing it, but to Rebeccas displeasure, one evening she was called into Reginalds office for an exam.
Rebecca followed Reginald into the lab adjoining the office, where she was ordered to sit on the exam table in the center of the room, and what choice did Rebecca have but to comply? She was basically being blackmailed.
She climbed up onto the table, perching herself on her rounder-than-it-pleased-her-to-be ass, her lab coat baggy and oversized, which was part of her strategy in concealing her changes the best she could.
Lie back, Reginald ordered, again pulling on his latex gloves.
Rebecca shifted, then hesitated. I cant, she admitted uncomfortably. She had attempted to recline before, in the comfort of her bed at home, but had been rewarded with extreme discomfort, if not pain. The tail was just too sensitive, too real by then. So most nights, she was left attempting to sleep on her side.
Reginald seemed pleased by Rebeccas admission. In fact, he didnt seem to have any expectation that Rebecca could comfortably lie back at all.
Remove the lab coat, said Dr. Reginald.
Rebecca cringed, but reluctantly proceeded to slide her lab coat down her shoulders, revealing her shrinking T-shirt and tightening sweatpants not exactly the most professional attire. Her blouses all seemed to have gotten too small for her, and her skirts couldnt even hope to triumph her hips, which seemed to be widening more every day.
Excellent, said Dr. Reginald, reaching down and pressing Rebeccas belly here and there, while Rebecca only wanted to pull away from him. The eggs are coming along nicely.
Eggs. She was carrying dinosaur eggs. The mere thought unnerved her. It was ridiculous! How had she gotten herself into this mess?
Reginald finally pulled away. Follow me. Its time for a bit of maintenance.
As Reginald walked off, Rebecca eased herself off the table and followed Reginald to yet another room. This one wasnt large, but it accommodated a considerable table, upon which was strewn a roasted animal. Rebecca could only stare at it in a bit of disgust.
A female pig, said Dr. Reginald, gesturing for Rebecca to take a seat in front of the creature. Adolescent. I figured wed start small and work our way up.
What do you mean? said Rebecca, though she feared she knew where things were going.
Take a seat, said Reginald flatly.
Rebecca did as instructed, perching herself down in the sole chair in the room, which happened to be right in front of the roasted pork.
Now eat, said Reginald.
Rebecca hesitated. She wasnt big on chewy meats. But at the sight of Dr. Reginalds warning stare, she knew that the matter wasnt up for discussion. Rebecca reached down and broke off a large chunk of meat in her hand. She took a bite, chewed, and swallowed it down. She repeated the process in what felt like an endless loop. Her stomach tightened, ached, even hurt a little. Whenever Rebecca stopped, or complained however, Reginald would tell her how interesting her prison-mates would find her physique once she was booked, and so Rebecca continued to eat.
-
Rebecca returned to the lab two hours later only after being forced to eat the whole medium-sized pork. She was breathless and sweaty, her belly bloated and bulging out inches more than it had before she had been forced to gorge herself. She clutched her lab coat around her, hoping to conceal the change, all the while her coworkers throwing looks that ranged from curious to suspicious. They knew that something strange was going on with her, they just didnt know what.
Dr. Reginald decided to clarify things. Walking up from behind Rebecca, he placed his hand on the young interns shoulder. Id like to make an announcement, said the head scientist. Rebecca and I have made substantial progress on an experiment she volunteered for. Now usually I dont like to hm count my eggs before theyve hatched- Reginald smiled a bit at his analogy as Rebecca simply stood there, frozen and trembling. -but weve seen too much progress to keep this quiet any longer.
Without warning, Reginald pulled Rebeccas lab coat back and off her shoulders, to reveal Rebeccas bulging midsection that looked five-months with child, her widened hips, plumpened backside, and the flesh-colored tail bulging out over her back waistband. He even gently pressed his elbow against Rebeccas spine, causing her to reactively straighten, pushing her belly out even more.
There were gasps, whispers, and exclamations. Rebecca stood in silent mortification and resentment as the other scientists and interns gawked at her, Dr. Reginald wearing a pleased smile all the while.
We have begun the process of reviving the Tyrannosaurus-Rex.
-
Rebecca was growing every day.
In a matter of days, her tail had become fourteen inches long, her bottom had plumpened yet more, her thighs had thickened, and a noticeable gap was developing between her impossibly wide hips. Her gait became increasingly awkward between her widened hips and her burgeoning belly, which now resembled the seventh month of pregnancy. The thought that she was growing Tyranasaurans Rex eggs within it scared her a little. They werent known to be the most docile of creatures. What if one day they just tore their way out of her? Rebecca shuddered at the thought.
Her special meals under Reginalds supervision continued periodically, the last one being an adult female pig fattened specifically for the purposes of the experiment. Bite by bite, Rebecca had been forced to stuff it down. And as difficult as it was as uncomfortable as it felt to stuff her stomach so full of fatty meat that it was heaving and pushing out, her face red and body soaked in sweat a certain part of her had come to enjoy it. Reginald had watched in satisfaction once she had finished, Rebecca leaning back and holding her bloated abdomen as she panted and stared at the way it newly bulged out from the bottom of her shirt.
Gazes followed Rebecca wherever she went, her stride now awkwardly slow. The lower half of her body had taken on a greenish hue to her unease. Her feet were getting wider, stretching out her shoes. The dinosaur DNA cultivating within her was seriously messing with her anatomy, and she didnt know what to do.
At home, Rebecca had found herself beginning to gravitate towards meaty meals. She snacked on thick bacon slices, ribs, jerk meat, rotisserie chicken, and whatever else she could come by. And in consequence, she was absolutely ballooning.
Within another week, Rebeccas belly was huge. She looked overdue with child, and felt absolutely stuffed.
She had to move about with care, fully conscious of the potential fragility and volatility of the eggs packed in her.
Her tail was two and a half feet, and continuing to grow longer and thicker every day.
Her hips were wide, her thighs plump, the entirety of her lower half having turned a yellowish green, but it was getting darker every day. And her skin was getting rougher reptilian-like. Her toenails were lengthening to claws, toes separating and splaying out so she had to go barefoot now. Walking was getting awkward and tricky. The weight of her tail helped to keep Rebecca balanced as she moved about, her arms protectively wrapped about her belly, to guard it if she were to fall.
The thought of the T-Rex eggs hatching or even cracking while still within her scared Rebecca to no end. She wanted this to be over already. More importantly, she prayed that her transformation could be reversed. As of yet, she hadnt had the nerve to inquire about it with Reginald.
As her coworkers stared, and they continuously did in their stunned silence, Rebecca made her way towards Dr. Reginalds office for her scheduled lunch. Once inside, Reginald quickly stood and ushered Rebecca to the adjoining room. Rebecca was stunned by todays presentation: it was overwhelming, and yet her bloated belly growled.
Are you a fan of beef? said Dr. Reginald.
Sprawled on the massive table was the fattest roasted cow Rebecca had ever seen. It had to be stuffed or something. No way could its torso just be so bloated and round, bulging away from its body like a massive pillow.
Dig in, said Reginald.
It was not a suggestion.
Rebecca hesitated, then sat down. The sheer sight of meat now made her salivate. Though her mind knew that the roasted cow set before her was way too much, her body acted automatically, suddenly stuffing fistfuls of meat into her mouth, where they hit her stomach heavily filling it more and more, pushing it outwards, till there was barely any room left.
Just a little more, said Dr. Reginald.
Rebecca was three quarters of the way through and in a great deal of discomfort. She was sweating, her belly throbbing, tightening, and pushing outwards, Dr. Reginald looking on in immense pleasure. Though she had no expectation that she could handle it, Rebecca brought another bite of meat to her lips, before she stopped, her eyes widening as a sudden sharp pain shot through her pulsating abdomen.
Errghh, said Rebecca, suspecting she had pushed her limits too far this time. With some difficulty, she managed to stand. E-excuse me, she managed out, stumbling out of the office, her tail slapping against things and knocking them over. Reginald was too caught off guard to protest her leave.
Rebecca made her way to a bathroom, closing the locking the door behind her. Once inside, she leaned on the wall, panting and clutching her abdomen. It suddenly tightened. Agghhhh Rebecca groaned out. She feared that she would rupture, but then her belly just swelled out an inch more, then another. She looked overdue with twins by then, feeling that she would burst, but that wasnt what was happening. Rebecca suddenly realized that she was in labor.
Shit, she groaned out. She didnt know what to do. She should have called for Dr. Reginald, but she didnt want to give him the satisfaction of seeing the fruit of Rebeccas literal labor. Rebecca sunk down into a squat, groaning as her belly trembled and ached. She felt the mass within it pressing harder down against her hips.
The door swung open, and Reginald entered. He looked surprised at Rebeccas position on the ground. Hold it in, he ordered, hurrying over and kneeling down beside her.
I cant! Rebecca roared back in pain.
Your lower body has not developed enough to handle giving birth. If you try to, the eggs will break, then well have to do this all over again, Reginald practically threatened.
Rebecca groaned out as her belly contracted once again, her tail plumpening and distending, her hips and thighs seeming to grow wider and fuller, but it wasnt enough, at least according to Reginald. Her body needed time to develop more, were that even possible.
Her chin dripping sweat, Rebecca did her best to fight against the contractions, clutching the mass of her belly as it continued to tremble and swell.
She barely noticed as Reginald prepped a needle, until Rebecca felt it being injected into her shoulder. After only a moment, the contractions ceased, as did the swelling and quavering. Rebecca felt so exhausted, she nearly collapsed.
But Dr. Reginald was holding her by her shoulder, and with great effort, managed to help her upright. He began to lead Rebecca off, Rebecca assumed to lie down or recover, but she was mistaken.
Time to finish up your meal, Dr. Reginald said, a demented pleasure in his voice. Then I want to take some measurements. You had quite a growth spurt there.
Rebecca only had the energy to groan in response.
-
Another week passed, and Rebeccas growth continued to surge. Twice more, Reginald had to give her medications to halt her labor. All her body seemed to want to do was birth the eggs. She was literally overdue and with Tyrannosaurus-Rex eggs. What if she got so big, she couldnt give birth to them at all? Rebecca was so anxious, she could barely sleep.
Her belly resembled a beachball, large and round, wider than she was. She suspected she could only balance it because of her tail, which had grown five feet long, and was nine inches thick at its greatest width, as well as her dinosaur bottom, which was large and protruding, helping support the tail. All the weight was heavy on Rebeccas body, but her new structure of leg muscles seemed to just manage to support everything. Of course, surrounding the muscles were thick layers of fat on her hips, thighs, and ass. Rebeccas skin on her lower half had disturbingly turned a dark-green by then, and had a lizard-like texture. Her feet had become the large, clawed ones of a dinosaur. It was bizarre how all of these developments only extended from her waist and downwards. Above her belly, Rebecca resembled the same thin woman she had been before all of this had begun.
Rebecca could barely do anything at work anymore. It seemed she was mainly just there to be monitored by Dr. Reginald and the rest of the curious staff. She was given busy-work throughout the day, like takings samples, and running tests, but she mostly just knocked things over with her belly or tail, making a mess, and achieving little to nothing from day to day.
Rebecca was getting so large, she could barely do anything anymore. Her huge belly swung as she awkwardly trampled about in her wide gait. It was constantly tightening, and throbbing, and swelling now. The heavy meals werent a help, the last one being a bull so fattened up, it must have weighed more than Rebecca did at that point. It had taken Rebecca more than two hours to get it down, and in the aftermath, she felt so tight and heavy, it took another two hours to get herself moving again.
Rebecca was constantly panting, her clothes soaked in sweat. There were no pants that could fit her awkward anatomy anymore, so she wore a mere T-shirt that bunched over her massive belly, her lower-half left bare, though she couldnt tell whether or not it was immodest. Sometimes at work she attempted to wear a lab coat, though it served little purpose, her massive tail poking out from the bottom, and her belly a massive orb that bulged out of the front.
Rebecca grew and grew, and just when shed think that she could grow no more, her body would swell yet again. Her breasts were also getting plumper, fuller, heavier on her chest. She felt that she was at her absolute limit. The lower half of her body was almost fully developed, and her clutch of eggs had gotten so huge, she was not sure shed be able to deliver them.
Dr. Reginald seemed frustratingly unconcerned, smiling to himself as he watched Rebecca struggle about in the lab. Necessary doors had been widened specifically for Rebeccas girth. Whenever Rebecca stood and walked forward, all of her coworkers and superiors cleared the way, either to accommodate her, or just because they were intimidated by her. Rebecca could feel their stares wherever she went. And whenever Dr. Reginald called Rebecca into his office, everyone knew that she would come back out even larger than she had been before. Sometimes Rebecca sensed she had an audience, as she struggled out of the office, sweaty, tight, and gasping for breath from her latest massive meal. She would hold onto the wall and observe the others staring at her from the corners of their eyes, the way her belly was bulging further out than ever before, heaving and pulsating, her bulging button the size of a softball by then.
And each time, Rebecca did not think she could possibly grow any further. It just wasnt possible. And each time, Rebecca would be proven wrong.
-
Once again, Reginald put Rebecca on the spot, presenting her to the whole lab when she was caught off guard. As you can see, our experiment has been a huge success thus far. Look at how big the eggs have gotten. The experiment is at the eve of completion.
Rebecca didnt know whether to be relieved or horrified. She was decidedly mortified. She clutched what she could of her dino-belly, her body perpetually flushed and sweaty. She offered a weak nod. It was really all she could manage in her breathless state. She had grown so massive, she could no longer hope to wrap her arms around her abdomen. In fact, the range of her arms felt terribly impeded by her largeness. She felt a lot like a real Tyrannosaurus Rex in that regard.
-
Seated the next day in her desk chair, the one she had been specially provided to accommodate her girth and allow her tail to poke out of the back, Rebecca could think of little else than Reginalds announcement the day before.
Hey Rebecca
Rebecca looked up to see that several of her fellow interns had approached. And so the awkward queries began.
What made you volunteer to be a subject for this experiment, particularly? one asked.
Are you getting money out of this or something? another said.
God, look at you. Those eggs must be absolutely massive.
Across the room, Dr. Reginald poked his head out of his office. Rebecca, a word?
The interns fell silent. One patted Rebeccas arm.
Good luck.
It took several moments for Rebecca to struggle to stand, which left her red in the face and pouring sweat. Huffing to catch her breath, she made her way over to Dr. Reginalds office in that partially-crouched, wide-spread gait of hers, her overdue belly swinging back and forth. She carefully guided her belly through the shrinking doorframe of Reginalds office. It had already been widened twice to accommodate her.
Once inside, Rebecca eased herself down on one of the wide, padded seats that had been placed within specifically for her. Her belly perched down against her widened lap, a massive ball that was increasingly encroaching upon her field of vision.
I am ready to induce, said Reginald.
Rebecca was tense. No.
The doctor seemed surprised. What? Why not?
Because this these things- Rebecca aggressively gestured to her belly. -are going to kill me. I cant no they have to stay inside.
Rebecca struggled to her feet and made her way out of the office. She couldnt give birth. She had to find another way.
Motivated more by panic than logic, Rebecca moved through the lab, her belly seeming to heave and tighten even then. She aimed herself for the exit door. She couldnt give birth. No. She wouldnt. Her belly swelled almost in protest, causing Rebeccas eyes to widen and her belly button to swell like a balloon. She could barely keep herself upright. No Rebecca groaned, her anxiety so overpowering, she resisted even as she felt her belly tighten and was overcome with pain. It pressed hard against her pelvis, causing it to ache, and her to instinctively crouch down on her dinosaur legs. Others quickly gathered round, talking, whispering, some even seeming to be recording her on portable video recorders. And Rebecca only seemed to swell, her body genuinely feeling as though it would tear apart. She saw the rounded bulge of an egg surface against her scaly green skin, before sinking, but soon another rounded outline appeared against her mass. The eggs looked absolutely massive.
Rebecca could hear Reginalds voice, coming from somewhere amongst her spectators. Yes, finally, bring them to life.
Her face red and body heaving, all Rebecca could manage was, No ohhhh nrrrgghhhhhhh!
