Watch your head, said Dr. Ferguson as he guided her into the lab and toward an oversized chair.
Lauren slowly eased herself down. Thanks. I actually bumped it earlier leaving my apartment. She smiled sheepishly.
Hmmm, it might be time for you to start living here at headquarters, said Ferguson. A lab tech stood beside him and was scribbling notes as he observed.
Already? said Lauren.
You knew this was coming Ferguson intoned. You said you were committed to this.
I am, said Lauren resolutely.
Good. Then well proceed with the treatment as usual.
Ferguson took her arm and started the infusion. Lauren gulped silently. She was still rather stunned by what the treatments were doing to her body. She had started off with a slim build and about 6 feet tall, but skinny. Now she was not only lean but voluptuous, and was rapidly approaching 9 feet. She was beginning to feel like a giant. Lauren had been recruited into the space program a few weeks earlier to be turned into the ultimate pilot. As an aspiring astronaut, Lauren had always dreamed of going to space, which had led her to signing a multitude of contracts and consent forms, after which she was started on the daily infusion.
The effects had hit rapidly. Not only had Laurens body gotten stronger and larger, which seemed consistent with the goal of the program, but her belly had expanded like a pregnancy. It was now round and firm, and she looked due with triplets, at least in proportion to her body. By normal standards, she was even more massive. Lauren was not sure how this development would aid her in being a genetically-modified pilot. She was now off-balance and ungainly. But she wouldnt complain. It was a minor inconvenience.
Ohhh Lauren groaned, her pants seeming to shorten and blouse buttons popping off, giving way to the swelling EE-cup breasts on her chest.
Its working faster, said Ferguson in amazement.
Yes, lately, Lauren managed.
When the treatment finished, Lauren was guided to her new quarters. She hunched slightly through the large door.
Your things will be delivered by this evening, Ferguson assured. Try to get some rest.
Lauren tried to, but found herself tossing and turning on the low bed, groaning awake, then dozing off again. At some point she awoke with a gasp and noticed that her legs were hanging at least two feet off the bed, which had earlier, been able to accommodate her easily. She felt a huge weight on her torso, and ran her hands over it, to find that that her belly was massive, swollen, wider than she was. Her breasts tingled, and she could tell that theyd had a substantial growth as well.
Lauren tried to get up, but a hand held her to the bed. It was only then that she noticed Fergusons outline in the darkness, two other scientists standing beside him.
A small flashlight beamed in her eyes, causing them to dilate. Lauren felt a strange buzzing in her head.
Ferguson moved his flashlight to examine her belly button where it protruded fully from her shirt. Her belly button resembled a small apple. It seemed to hum and vibrate. Ferguson poked and prodded it, before pressing his finger against the dimpled skin. Lauren gasped as his digit sunk in, until it was fully sheathed by her body. It felt strange, but not unpleasant. The whole room became tinged with green, as though a lense had been lowered before her eyes. Laurens throat hummed. Welcome, she blurted, to her shock.
The crew quarters are coming along. Ferguson withdrew a slime-covered finger to pat her belly, causing the gargantuan mound to jiggle slightly. Lauren, a status update please?
Starship is at fifty percent completion, Lauren heard herself state robotically. I will be ready for initial boarding in three weeks time.
Lauren gaped in shock as Ferguson grinned.
Do you hear that? he said to the other scientists, still cradling her belly. The ship is near completion.
