-
Over the next few days, Ryan found himself consistently waking up with morning wood. He would work it off in the bathroom, his tail swaying behind him. Ryan was still oblivious to the fact that the tail was regularly pumping him with creatures, insects, and whatever else it considered to be edible while Ryan was sleeping.
To Ryan, he was doing okay. Things were finally normalizing for him, despite the oddness of his newest appendage.
There were small slip-ups from time to time. The tail managed to suck down a bottle of syrup one morning before Ryan could even react. It gulped down some cherry tomatoes on another occasion. And Ryan continued to try his best to keep it under control. He didnt mind the tail too much anymore. In fact, he was getting used to it. When he was alone in his room, Ryan carefully stroked it, and his body shivered in response. He could feel his breathing thickening, and his heart pounding. It was sort of nice. Ryan would continue to stroke the limb, his tail curving against his fingertips.
Ryan knew that something bigger than himself was going on. He just didnt know specifically what it was. But he knew that it was planned and that it was important. He was not to worry, but to go along with it. At least, thats what Ryans programming seemed to tell him.
So he had a tail. Sort of like a deformity. Actually, it made him feel more evolved. Regardless, it wasnt that big of a deal.
As the days went by, Ryan had no appetite, though he seemed to be gaining weight. He tried to force down different foodshealthy foods. Other times, junk foods that he had once been fond of. But no matter what it was, Ryan couldnt find the urge to eat most of the time.
Despite it, the dark circles disappeared from beneath his eyes. Soon he didnt look underweight anymore, but healthy. His skin wasnt as pale and his eyes were no longer dull, but radiant. Ryan was turning back into his old selfmaybe even better than is old self. Ryans parents noticed, and both were relieved.
You look a hell of a lot better than you did a couple weeks ago, Samuel remarked.
Youre practically glowing, said Tammy.
Ryan responded with an awkward thanks. He suspected that his recent improvement in health was somehow related to the tail, though he didnt know quite how.
As Ryans health rose, unfortunately, so did his responsibilities. He was back on errand duty when his parents were at work. While grocery shopping one afternoon, Ryan tried his best to focus, and keep the tail hidden where it was, presently wrapped around his waist beneath his shirt. As difficult as it was to pick out items while simultaneously focusing his attention on keeping the tail still and calm, Ryan somehow managed. Beads of sweat formed on his brow. It was quite the lesson in concentration.
As slowly as Ryan was walking and as strained as he seemed, he would have been an odd sight for passerby. Fortunately for Ryan, it was an early weekday morning, and the grocery store was relatively empty, aside from the occasional elderly person scrutinizing the shelves.
Ryans cart was full, and he had nearly finished up. His last stop was the produce aisle. As Ryan cut through the candy aisle, he felt the tail shift. Releasing the cart, he quickly tugged his shirt down just as the tip of the tail began to poke out. Easy, he hissed under his breath, drawing odd looks from two teenagers wearing backpacks, evidently cutting class.
Grabbing hold of his cart again, Ryan wheeled it forward, and hastily made his way to the produce section of the store. He glanced down at the shopping list gripped in his trembling hand. Just a few more things, Ryan thought, as he pushed his cart over to the lemons, limes, and some other citrusy fruit. Ryan reached out for an orange, but as he did, the tail unraveled itself from his waist. Before Ryan could even process what was going on, his tail closed in on a grapefruit, the dimple opening as the tip pressed against it, the mouth widening and widening to enclose the grapefruit.
Ryans body froze up as this transpired and he found himself unable to move. Finally, as his tail completely closed around the grapefruit, the electric tension and arousal subsided enough that Ryan could breathe again. Ryan turned to see the large lump that had formed at the end of the tail, where the grapefruit presently sat. Nngghhh Ryan grunted, as the lump trembled, and shifted upwards, towards him. He could feel every nerve on the tail tingle and contort as it stretched to accommodate the fruit.
Ryan heard footsteps, and quickly turned to face a young couple entering the produce section of the store. Abandoning his cart, Ryan backed away, towards the baking aisle, needing someplace where he could regain some semblance of control of himself. Sweating and panting, he made his awkward retreat. Thankfully the baking aisle was empty. Ryan gripped onto a shelf and leaned heavily on it as he released another long groan.
The grapefruit was already midway up his tail. Despite its heavy burden of gravity, it was progressing towards Ryans body in heaving shifts. He was embarrassed that he could feel his erection stretching out the front of his pants. He could feel a thin sheen of sweat now coating his whole body, and he knew that if anyone walked into that aisle, he would have a lot of awkward questions to deal with. Ahhh...ohhh...mffpphhh Ryan covered his mouth, not wanting to draw attention to the aisle. The tail felt like it was contracting, squeezing the grapefruit, pushing it upwards and towards his body. And it was big. So big, it was intimidating. Ryan reached down and gripped the advancing lump, in a desperate effort to push it back down, and out of the tail. But as Ryan gripped it, he was again seized by an electric shock of arousal, his limbs resigning, causing him to nearly keel over.
Now he was leaning down, gripping his knees, and the grapefruit was just below the base of his tail. Ugghhh oohhh godddd Ryans back arched resistantly as the pressure grew and grew, to the cusp of being pain, before he felt the grapefruit shift into his body, his belly pushing out correspondingly.
Ryan gasped for breath as he held his newly bloated belly. It was tight and uncomfortable, an evident mound on his slim frame. It was completely whole, and stretching his stomach. He knew it would take him a while to digest it.
How am I going to explain this to my parents? Ryan wondered, his arms folded over the mound as the tail thrashed behind him. His eyes widened as he felt the tail dive for something else, but he quickly turned to throw it off track. Not caring who saw him anymore, Ryan held his stomach and ran out of the store.
-
Ryan, we asked you to run one errand. I dont think thats unreasonable.
Yeah, well Ryan was wearing a baggy sweater and avoiding his fathers eyes. Ryans tail was back in place, around his waist, though below the small mound of his stomach. I just wasnt feeling well. Honest.
Samuel gave Ryan a doubtful look. And then he sighed. Fine, Ryan. Ill let you off this time. But I dont want this to become a trend. Youve been doing so well since you...came back.
Ryan nodded. With a mumbled apology, he turned, and returned to his room, where he had been spending a lot of his time.
Too much time, his mother would say.
But Ryan didnt have much of a choice. He closed the door and pulled off his sweatshirt, to groan down at the tight grapefruit-sized mound that had formed on his abdomen.
Ryan sat down on his bed as the tail unraveled from his waist. People werent meant to consume large, whole, foods like that. Under normal circumstances, it wouldnt even be possible. He was a person, not a snake. He certainly wasnt equipped to digest things the way that snakes were. Ryan didnt know how long he would have to deal with the mound, but he hoped it would be softer, and less uncomfortable, by morning time. That was how things usually went when the tail consumed things.
Ryan carefully laid down on his side, cupping the mound.
He glanced back at the tail, as it waved freely, and involuntarily. Ryan examined the ovoid tip and the dimple upon it, where the tail seemed to be excreting a weird, clear slime. Ryan wrinkled his nose in disgust.
Sometimes he feared that the tails influence on him was getting stronger. At times, Ryan could sense his own willpower faltering. He was beginning to crave the things that the tail craved. Ryan usually tried his best to keep food out of the tails reach, but it was hard. After all, the tail was longer than his arms. And it truly did have a mind of its own.
There was a knock on his bedroom door. Ryan, Tammy called. Dinner!
Taking a deep breath, Ryan climbed out of bed and retrieved his sweatshirt from atop his dresser. It was going to be a long night.
