“Are you sure it’s okay for us to be hanging out in your mom's lab?” said Josh in uncertainty.
“Stop being such a baby.” Gina grinned, poking around a shelf of beakers and jars. Her mother, Greta, was a marine biologist. “So my mom has this weird fish slime and I swear it gets you high. I just can’t remember which container.” Gina grabbed a jar at random and tried to pry the cover off. Once she succeeded, she sniffed the green slime within it, then grimaced. “Eugh. Not this.”
“Isn’t all this stuff kind of dangerous?” said Josh. He peered into a massive tank of water that dominated one side of the room, but there was nothing inside.
Gina had picked up a new jar, and was now tossing it up and down as though it was a ball.
“I mean, what if we’re exposed to something-”
Just as Josh said this, Gina missed the jar and it crashed to the floor at her feet. Josh jumped away, but Gina was splattered with the grainy purple contents.
“Eugh,” said Gina, wiping her face, and sticking out her tongue in disgust. She heard some movement upstairs. “Shit. Let’s get out of here.” She and Josh hurried out a side door, Gina continuing to wipe purple goo off her.
Over the next few days, Gina began having difficulty breathing. At eighteen, she had thought her childhood asthma was behind her, but she started taking a few puffs of her inhaler every day in her hopes to remedy the problem. But the attacks only seemed to get worse. One night she awoke gasping for breath.
“Can’t – breathe,” she huffed, getting up while digging in her dresser for her inhaler. Random items clattered to the floor. Her mother rushed in, looking alarmed.
“Gina, what’s going on?” Greta said, still in her nightclothes.
By then, Gina’s face was turning blue. She collapsed to the ground, and the last thing she saw was her mother rushing to her side, before everything went black.
-
When Gina awoke, her body felt light, and she was swaying for some reason. She was naked except for a sports bra and some shorts. She could see her mother on the other side of a glass wall. She could also see that they were in the basement of their house--the lab--shelves of equipment and jars lining the walls. Gina tried to speak, but all that came out were…bubbles.
Greta looked at her sadly. “Were you hanging around in the lab again? You know I told you not to.”
Gina looked around, suddenly panicked. She was underwater! She swam up to the surface of the tank, which led to a large room on the first floor. Coughing, she waded to the edge and started climbing out. She could hear her mother hurrying up the stairs from the basement to meet her there. She appeared a moment later. “Stay put,” Greta warned.
“What were you trying to do, drown me?” said Gina. But the longer she sat on the pool’s edge, the harder her breathing seemed to become. She started coughing more violently. Her mother kneeled down beside her.
“Don’t you realize, honey? The serum you were exposed to, it gave you…” Greta sighed, and pulled a small mirror out of her pocket, handing it to her daughter. Gina studied at her reflection.
At first, Gina appeared normal, but as she turned her head, she noticed strange lines on the right side of her neck. They were on the left side, too!
“Gills,” her mother explained. “You were exposed to a very volatile serum. It did this to you. You can tolerate air, but only for short periods, and it won’t be comfortable. It will be a while before I’m able to figure this all out. For now, you need to stay in the water to breathe.”
“But mom…” said Gina, though she didn’t know what her argument was. She was mostly stunned.
Greta gave her a kiss on the head and a reassuring nod, though she looked mournful. Gina hesitated, then dropped herself back into the pool.
Part 2
Gina was not allowed to have visitors, but her mother made an exception for Josh, who was Gina’s best friend. After having him swear to confidentiality (sign off on it, too), Greta allowed Josh into the first floor level of the tank. He walked over to the pool and sat down on the edge as Gina swam to the surface to meet him there. For a moment, the two blankly stared at each other.
“Holy shit,” said Josh, bursting into laughter.
Gina frowned. “You’re telling me.” We swam over to Josh and pulled herself up to sit on the edge of the pool, though her breathing became slightly strained. “I have freakin’ gills, and look.” She held out her fingers, which had developed webs between them. “My feet, too.”
Josh was so amused, he had to clutch his side. “Can’t you get plastic surgery or something?”
“Yeah, sure, except it wouldn’t help with that small issue of breathing.” Gina huffed, causing some water to spray from her gills. Josh was in tears by then.
Gina glared at him and dropped herself back into the pool. She did a lap around its 20-foot length at astonishing speed. Josh sobered a little.
“It can’t be all that bad. No school. And you get to swim around all day.”
“Yeah, right,” said Gina.
“Well I’m definitely taking advantage of it,” said Josh, pulling off his shirt, then pants, to leave only his boxers. He hopped into the pool, staring in amazement at the glass wall and basement lab beneath the water’s surface. “So cool,” he garbled as she swam back to the top.
“Do you know this tank was made for my mother to experiment on dolphins and stuff?” said Gina glumly.
“Eww,” said Josh, wrinkling his nose.
Gina nodded her head to the left of the tank, where there was a device, and a humming noise. “Well, there’s a filter.”
“So do you like use the bathroom in here?” said Josh uncomfortably.
“I could,” said Gina, smiling as Josh paled. “But I still use the first floor bathroom in the house. Seems more civil. You know I can go an hour now in the air?” She seemed proud of this fact.
“Just enough time to get laid,” said Josh, chuckling as Gina rolled her eyes. “So what do you eat?”
“At first, regular food. But now I can only seem to tolerate raw fish.”
“Gross. You mean sushi type stuff?”
Gina hesitated. “No. Live fish.”
“Grooossss!” said Josh, swimming away from her.
Gina shrugged. “The alternative is swimming around in my own vomit and diarrhea.”
“That’s it, I’m getting out of this thing,” said Josh. Gina smirked as she watched him climb back onto the pool's edge.
Part 3
Because of her predicament, Gina had to endure daily homeschooling with her mother. Greta did the lessons in the basement, not minding that Gina had to sit in silence and listen to the lessons from the other side of the glass. If Gina tried to complain or argue, all that she produced were air bubbles from her mouth.
After homeschooling, Josh came by to visit Gina daily, and often swam around with her. It really cheered Gina up, as she was going into her third week stuck as a fish-girl.
Greta made sure to monitor Gina and keep an eye out for any additional developments. Nothing had changed since Gina had developed webbed hands and feet, though Greta did begin to notice that Gina’s breasts seemed larger than usual. At first Greta thought it to be nothing of significance, but within a few days, they seemed a whole cup-size larger. Gina didn’t mention anything of it, and barely seemed to notice.
Greta took to her research. It was possible Gina was going into heat, which was unusual of fish (or humans), but not unheard of. The episode would likely pass on its own.
Little did Greta realize, Gina’s body would not relax until its reproductive needs were satisfied.

“Dude, ever since I started swimming around with you, my junk has been getting huge,” said Josh, as she sat on the edge of the pool one day. “Not that I’m complaining.”
“Ew. TMI.” Gina blushed and eyed him. “But I think my mom says I’m giving off pheromones or something. It…must have messed with your system.”
“I guess it’s more incentive to come visit,” Josh laughed as he dropped into the pool. Both eighteen-year-olds submerged in the water, and Josh could not help noticing how round and plump Gina’s breasts had gotten in her ever-tightening sports bra. Gina, meanwhile, stared at the large bulge in his shorts. The two swam back to the surface, both flushed despite the cool water. “This tank is doing a number on us,” Josh said, feeling himself harden at just the thought of growing even larger. He grunted and his abdominals spasmed before he could gain control of himself.
Gina stared at him. “Did you just…?”
“Sorry Jeann.”
“Gross!” said Gina. “I’m turning on the filter.” She swam off to the other side of the pool, where she turned on the filter. Little did she know, this would do no good in getting rid of Josh’s semen. Gina’s body was in heat, arousing whoever was in proximity, and drawing their sperm to her. The sperm was magnetized to Gina’s opening, seeping inside of her, until her desperate insides had taken in every wriggling specimen.
“This tank is awesome,” said Josh. “That’s it, I have to bring the guys over.”
Gina shrugged. “It’ll be nice to have some company besides you,” she said, laughing as Josh gave her the finger.

I'm changing the title of that story to "Mer."
What about story Fish girl you've posted before? About mermaid
Big bun
im liking it too, plus the added breast sizes and the adding of maybe lactation might be great.

I'm liking it. The path this story is taking is quiet interesting. I wonder if "the guys" might have further effect on Gina.. fish do have a lot of eggs after all.
