August 2021 Alpha Tester Unlock File
🕑 Added 2021-08-31 13:25:00 +0000 UTCThis file will only work with the August version of TQ (slightly delayed, to be released early September) and later versions. Use the older unlock file while playing the July release!
To unlock the content (including the ability to use 'debug'):
1) Download the attached gblorb file.
If you are using the Windows launcher:
2) Click on the "import unlock file" button and select the downloaded file.
If you are using an interpreter directly (i.e. you are not using the launcher):
2a) Move the file into the same folder as Trap Quest.
2b) Open this file with your interpreter as if it was a game. For most of you, this means opening it with Git.exe.
You're done! 'Debug' should now work in the main game, and this is the best way to check that the file is working correctly. The game normally only checks for the unlock file when you start a fresh new game. To get the game to check for a new unlock file in the middle of a playthrough, type 'update donators file'.
After using this file you do NOT need to also use the beta unlock file; the alpha file unlocks everything. In fact using the beta unlock file will override what you've done here and prevent the use of debug commands.
When you run this file, the text shown will also give you instructions on how to apply the password in Fabularium (Android) or Frotz (iOS) or similar apps where you can't get this file in the correct location.

Ah yes you should only use the alpha unlocker.
I did, all of the options that are normally locked still say beta/alpha only. I did notice that the point value changed when I pushed enter for the alcohol option despite not being able to see what was selected. It just stayed on "bab testers only for now" Edit: I think I realized my mistake now, I used donators unlocker after and it seems it only uses the most recent unlock, oops!

This should indeed work with the latest version of Diaper Quest. If it isn't, then you've probably done something wrong. Did you start a new game of DQ after importing the unlocker?
Is this file supposed to work with diaper quest as well? The in game supporter rewards page says that alpha tester is supposed to be the same as alpha bab, when I use the import unlocker button it says the file was imported but the content is still locked. If it is only supposed to work with Trap quest, is there anyway I could switch to diaper quest? I did not see that existed before subscribing.
